Swift Interference when using heated vest

My vest is a Santi Flex 2.0 so output is 55w on it's highest setting? I use it with the UWLD 107wh battery and heat controller. Setting 2 is what I use the vest at. Didn't test much above those as it's too hot for me most of the time above 3. Undergarments are either a really light layer "under...

Swift Interference when using heated vest

Pretty much confirmed for myself that the heated vest is the cause in my case. Switching tanks for the transmitters didn't change much. To test I had my heated vest connected under my dry suit but not connected to my heat controller. Heat controller and battery connected with EO plug on the end...

Transmitter dropout when using Perdix in sidemount

Pretty much confirmed for myself that the heated vest is the cause in my case. Switching tanks for the transmitters didn't change much. Swift Interference when using heated vest

I spoke with Bobby about this as well. I just wanted to throw it out here to see if anyone else had a similar experience. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. I just never really thought that wireless transmission would be an issue. The distance didn't really make much of a difference but I'm diving...

Swift Interference when using heated vest

I have a Santi heated vest, Swift transmitter, legacy Shearwater transmitter, Perdix AI, UWLD heat controller/battery and I am experiencing communication loss on only the Swift transmitter. I dive SM but had some issues with BM single tank diving last fall (also communication loss but this was...

Transmitter dropout when using Perdix in sidemount

I just got into SM a month ago but prior to that was having similar interference with a legacy (grey SW transmitter) when diving my single steel in BM. Transmitter was directly on 1st stage (no hose extension) and pointing to my left. Shearwater perdix AI is always on my left wrist. Now in SM I...

    Winter Diving

I've always wondered - do these hoods provide warmth just because your head is dry or is there any insulating value? I was diving in Mendota last weekend. 35F water with my drysuit, dry gloves, 5/7mm hood, undergarments but no heated vest yet. Seems like I can take about 30-40 minutes before...

    Peeing in a dry suit

Yea that's what I figured. I thought I read earlier in this thread that someone said you insert the catheter into the quick fitting. Into would made me imagine A but I had no idea how that would hold. I figured it had to be B. Thanks for confirming.

    Peeing in a dry suit

Just to make sure I'm understanding this I sketched an image. Red is the catheter and blue would be the quick connect fitting or whatever you connect your catheter to. Does the catheter go into the fitting (option A) or over the fitting (option B)?

    Peeing in a dry suit

I suppose while you're in the water and horizontal it doesn't matter much but I can see how the extra length doesn't really get in the way. Seems like you route it up towards your chest and then it bends gently back to the valve on your leg. Not sure if it makes much difference for the times...

    Peeing in a dry suit

Just to make sure I understand this, you mean on the catheter side it's too long and you trim a little? Also the catheter does go over the barbed quick connect fitting barbs or inside that small barbed fitting? I would assume the catheter stretches over the barbed quick connect fitting.

    Peeing in a dry suit

Just got the LM Balanced Tinkle Valve on my suit. For those that have these valves do you cut the hose to length or just direct the hose so it doesn't kink?

    Sub gravity DPV review

Thanks for the long and thorough video reviewing the different models. I appreciated the video even though I'm not in the market for a DPV. It would be interesting to see some of the speed comparisons underwater if you're able.

    UWLD Heat Controller Review's Needed

@tbone1004 Thanks for clarifying that. Looks like the packs are on backorder at the moment. Just have to convince the wife that I shouldn't be cold in the water! :rofl3:

    UWLD Heat Controller Review's Needed

After a few cold dives in 40F water just the other week here in WI I'm looking into a heated vest for my Santi dry suit. Undergarments alone just aren't enough to keep me warm. Looks like it's recommended to the Vega valve. I looked at the Santi valve and it says that it can only accept 12v so...

    Akuana Hummingbird 2 thoughts

Wisconsin - lakes and quarries. I only dive with my drysuit. HP100 steel tank. I have heard of and looked at both of those. I also was looking at Hollis Katana 2. I was starting to wonder if that was the case. I did see all kinds of items on their site and wondered why I had never heard of...

Again - I've just been looking at the harness/wing options that I would have if I take my classes and start to dive SM. It seems like a very clean, simple yet purposeful setup. I like how it just seems to have what you need and not a lot of extras on it. All of that being said I have never dove...
