    Perdix, Deco plan (real time)

Subsurface struggle to read all the (after dive) logs coming from the Perdix, ie: gas usage (when you're using AI). PS: we're OT for the topic.

    Perdix, Deco plan (real time)

Thanks, I figured it out from the previous post. It wasn't mentioned (or I couldn't figure it out) from the manual, so I never checked that page during the dive. I'll try it next time.

    Perdix, Deco plan (real time)

There's no space for sub-optimal solution for me, if it's a matter of software (so fixable) i pretend the perfection, or at least something better than "..but it's just few minutes". However it looks like, by reading the other post, that the Perdix is capable of listing all the stops by...

    Perdix, Deco plan (real time)

Knowing in advance what I'm gonna do in details. I can plan a dive in advance, but the real time calculation is a different matter. I'm that matter of person who *must* know the how to enter in the parking of hotel before actually reaching the hotel, even if that not gonna change (almost...

    Perdix, Deco plan (real time)

Thanks, I didn't know. I believed that page were used only to plan a dive but didn't contained any real time data... so it also contain the updated current dive (without setting up anything there)?

    Perdix, Deco plan (real time)

So.. I can't find a way to read the deco plan: I have the first deco stop (current ceiling), I have the TTS (so a general idea of how long the whole deco will be...) but no information of where (depth) it'll be the next stop and for how long. On my Ratio I can push a button and see all the stops...

    First dive trip to Coz

Get the ferry to mainland and do some dives in the Cenotes... that's a unique experience that you can do only in few places around the world (of that level).

    heavy rig buoyancy help

Seems obvious, while measuring the weight don't forget to place the batteries inside every equipment... and they must be charged! (OK the charged part was English humor... not easy to get...)

    heavy rig buoyancy help

It's impossible to know without having the real volume of your rig, the real weight (outside of water) doesn't count (or the boats won't float!)... the only thing you can do is to submerge it and measure the (in water) weight yourself.

    RX100V in manual mode (Av/Tv)

I can't find the black one, and the white one doesn't suit my darkish style. :) I'll wait for a restock.. if there'll be one.

    RX100V in manual mode (Av/Tv)

That's not a bad idea.. the Salted Line yes?

    RX100V in manual mode (Av/Tv)

I think that's about the exposure and flash compensation. AFAIK there's no way to use the arrows to change the other values. Lemme know if you find something. Tnx!

    RX100V in manual mode (Av/Tv)

I own a housing with no access to the rear control wheel rotation, as some of you know already, that wheel is used to control the shutter speed while in manual mode and the front wheel (the only one accessible) is used to control the aperture. To assign the shutter speed to the front wheel, you...

Default Nitrox Setting for Perdix AI in OC Mode

As a general rule: on a computer do not set ON any gas you don't carry or you don't plan to use in that dive. There's no reason to do otherwise (especially because you can set and change their state during the dive in case of a emergency or unplanned mix usage).

BCD failed while shore diving in the Phillipines

If the vale is leaking you can't inflate it; If the valve is failing, you can inflate it by mouth (you learned how to do it in your course); If you cannot inflate it, it's not a big issue, you should swim up, reach the surface, drop your weights, this is usually enough to stay afloat even with...

    Dressel Divers Cozumel Alternatives

I went both the IB at PDC and Cozumel... in neither occasion I had do carry a single gram of my equipment, if not the stuff I wanted to carry myself (my bag). I was "shocked" to be served like a rock star (coz I'm used to dive in much rough conditions and while taking care at all my things...)...

Stay in Playa del Carmen or Cozumel?

Playa is a little caos, I didn't liked it.. Cozumel is the nice combination because you can have both relax and other things. Cozumel Palace has no beach, as it is cost of San Miguel, the advantage is that you're near the town center. The hotels on the south, like the Iberostar, are nicer IMO...

    Dressel Divers Cozumel Alternatives

Ibero pier isn't private? So unless those alt ops are paying for it, I don't see how they could pick you up there? Also, I see the crowded boat thing pain... but IMO the location is too convenient to go for another op (do they leave you using their facilities before and after the dive?).

    Perdix (Last deco STOP)

Great, and this too: A “Deco Clear” upcounter option has been added. I often have to remember the minutes my deco obl have ended to know how much time it passed, now I can have a timer telling me (ie: if I want to perform a safety stop after the deco).
