Yes, but my harness has lasted 1,000 dives, and it looks good enough for another 1,000. Quite frankly, I'm not one for expecting my gear to last forever. Lasting 1,000 is good enough for me. Lasting 2,000 dives will drive me crazy... I need to go shopping before then!

I finally went round to my LDS and they had a new Perdix 2 (without warranty) to replace my faulty 2017 Perdix AI. No charges of any sort. Well done Shearwater.

I have the same issue. I’ve had my Apeks wing since at least the beginning of 2019 with probably at least 1,000 dives using it. The webbing is very thick and stiff so it can take some level off damage. The friction that wears through the webbing should also round the edges of the backplate, so...

I think July may be peak season for surfing in Maldives due to large swells. Do take motion sickness precautions if required. Alternatively go surfing instead?

I eventually sent it in to the designated Shearwater service center in NZ where it remained for a month or two. I'm told that it has been fixed and has been returned to my LDS but I'm on a month long trip and will only get back sometime in April. Will update when I find out what required fixing.
