That is fine i would have just ended up with about a 10min stop at 6m or i could have changed my profile to get me out with no deco.
Throughout the week the briefs were
60min or 50bar
Follow your computer and shallow up when within 3min of ndl.
This is where i believe a dm should never check air unless a private dm.
The guide is taking the group on a 60min dive. Why should the guide cut the groups dive short for 1 or 2 people we are all qualified and able surface ourselfs.
Last dive in the red sea guide led a dive down to el mina wreck...
45m.
Had object fixation.
Didnt start stopwatch till i hit 45m (only use it for deco anyway) so it was running 3-4mins behind dive time.
Turn time was 18mins.
Got fixated on stopwatch not dive time. Noticed at 18min and managed to turn dive on time.
I have had my own Public liability and Professional indemnity insurance for the last 7 years. I think the rates for scuba pros are very low. This year mine was £4000
When i am wearing it.
Right d ring (backup torch and primary torch when not on my hand)
Left d ring (stage)
Waist strap (cutting device on middle left and torch battery on right)
Left waist d ring (spg,stage)
Left pocket (2x dsmb and reels)
Right pocket (mask, cutting device, wet notes...
Both of mine have 50m of reel on them.
Most of my dives are descend on shot and then ascend on dsmb so get to practice on all dives. My 2x dsmb live in my left drysuit pocket or my left apeks tec shorts pocket.
Deepest i shoot from is 40.
What you are writing is complete crap. If someone believes you they will end up hurt.
As you say you have no deco dives and no experience. A day ago you didnt even know what your comouter was saying. And a month ago you didnt even know it had a light.
Please go out and learn
Deco is deco. No matter the algorithm depth or time i can not get a dive to plan me 38min at 3m without giving me additional deco deeper. Please read up on deco theory and understand why what you are saying is bollocks
Even 40m for 30 min is only going to give you 15min at 3m but if you want to 3m you woukd have busted through
1min at 18
2min at 15
3min at 12
6min at 9
8min at 6
It is not get to 3m and weight it out you have to follow the curve. You cant just do what you want. If you go to 6m when your...
Just dont do deco when you are not qualified to do so.
Tbh you keep trying to justify a thing and i am done.
You have no idea what you are doing. And you will get yourself hurt. Please take a course on deco before going above ndl
Alot of people stop at 6m because it is a ppo2 of 1.6 at 100% giving the deepest depth for a switch to 100% o2 and really opening up the window for accelerated deco.
3m is the so called vomit depth as you are going to get hit by wave motion and will find it harder to hold the stop but tbh in...
Its how much you want to take out of the skills. Every dive since qualifing i have done an switch onto my necklaced secondary and donated my long hose before restowing and switching back. Takes 20 seconds. Every dive i work on trim and buoyancy (because it looks cool sitting on a safety stop in...
