I made a cross bar between the bed rail anchors on my pickup truck out of wood. I transport my tanks standing up "like they are supposed to be transported". It only took maybe an hour with scrap wood i had laying around in my garage. In a car i would probably try to use the floor of the back...
some ops in PDC have fast boats to take you over and dive. Tank Ha being one of them. i used them a couple of years back and thought all the staff were great.

like _ralph said avoid the AL6351 alloy. that was stuff before 1989. i think my tanks are 20 yrs old. they pass vis and hydo each time. some shops have cut off dates so check with your LDS.
i cant help you. i got stuck in the same 8/7 yesterday. had to wait 15 minutes for my wife to get home to get me out of it!!!! haha. i was so hot, i got the hood off but couldn't get my arms out.
i couldnt imagine huge ships. I dive a river regularly that has alot of recreational boat traffic.i get 30 foot cabin cruisers buzzing my float and flag sometimes. and that's extremely loud.
