    Long hose without can light

Hi Not really sure if there any need of buying canister simulator or moving knife, left right, right left :) for me it's working fine as is written above just tuckle it under the belt and tighten when you experience more suit squeeze. No rocket science :)

cave diving vs flooded mine diving

What is main factor for that? because natural caves have more advanced and complex navigation and there usually no cave map?

cave diving vs flooded mine diving

Hi I'm really looking forward and shaking from excitement for registering myself for a cave course. I have one question regarding cave diving: are there any difference in diving cave or old flooded mine? What is best option for course to be conducted in? real natural caves or in artificial...

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

Small remark , that diver is a woman 27 years, not smoker, not overweight and have very active life. But the night before the dive she was very tired from work and had only 3-4 hours of sleep. Don't know if it would not be too much but I will try to ask her about PFO

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

Don't see what is wrong with my *paradigm* thinking. My believe and approach to diving are based on new standards and knowledge and doesn't rely on old habits, ideas and ignorance for everything new. Our dialog went to completly wrong direction. Firstly and once again I'm not talking about...

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

But now we have possibility for making it even more safe? why to refuse it? Would like to see that statistics, please no offence, but really would like to know more about that, how ratio deco have more risk in DCS vs air diving. Totally agree that dive to 40m on air can be execute in very safe...

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

Thank you for your answer, I think you get it wrong, to be clear it's not me who was diving :) My diving limit is 30m and only in warm water I can go little bit deeper and 32% is default in my tanks. Myself I using bottom timer. If I gonna start diving 40m and below then first I would go t1...

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

With deep stops I was meaning more ref. points not really deep stop, when you ascend from 100% to 75% with 1 min stop just for stabilizing, checking and same to 50% with relative-fast speed 30-35 feet /min and after 50% MD continue with 10feet/min with 40, 30, 20, 10 feet stops. Just in case...

What would you do differently ...

If I could start from zero I would go GUE Rec. 1 or SwedTech Scubadiver (our local swedish clone of GUE:) ) and only after completing the course would buy my gear, but anyway I don't feel sorry, I have been meeting a lot of nice and interesting people :) and everything what is happening is...

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

That could be a reason, didn't thought about that. But more or less it's bounce dive?

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

Dry suit :) in Sweden we not used for wet suits :); about 20 days since last dive; no previous experience with DCS; I think RGBM algorithm, as a standard on most rec dive computers, conservatism lvl wass on 1 from 0 to 2.

125 feet air dive DCS risk?

Hi Would really appreciate if some body with good deco theory experience and deep air diving help me to analyze few dives. And write some arguments. How safe would be to dive same dives in warmer water in term of DCS? What was main mistake on diving that kind of profiles? Could be DCS be avoided...

Backup Mask - Ever Had to Use While Solo?

Yea, that's true OW shallow dive in calm sunny weather with good vis, no current, no waves, warm clean and fresh water, you could do a control ascend in MDL terms with leaking mask or no mask, I can agree on that :) But sadly often my dives are in cold dark and murky water over 90feet and...

Backup Mask - Ever Had to Use While Solo?

And we again back to *I never used it* that's why it's foolish? I'm never used my line cutter, never donated my reg in real time emergency, never used my backup lamp and hope never do that, but still I have it and train often how to do and use it and how to avoid that situation. Foolish talking...
