Yes, the kits are only stocked with dynamic o-rings and the crush seal ring, which is BS. For the price they should include all of them down to port plug o-rings. Even though the piston passed the finger nail test you may find imperfections if viewed under magnification. Sounds like micromesh is...
What’s wrong with the old spool? Clean it and put new o-rings on it, or just use it as is. Boot not needed, the plastic (especially the face) will get scratched but it all looks and works fine under water.
Just finished rebuilding these two beauties. Crack at .8” and 1” respectively @165 psi IP, breath great. Omniswivel adapters cost more than the regs 😂. One needed a new spring though, luckily I had a beater for parts as well.
Rsingler wrote the whole thing and it’s indeed a masterpiece. The old version was lacking, especially with a blurry schematic they never bothered to fix.
The LM has one LED positioned centrally while the GM has 3 LEDs positioned in a pyramid. Not sure if it make it more visible or not. Lumen ratings need to be taken with a big grain of salt. Need a side-by-side comparison to truly tell.
That Scubapro gauge is cool! But shipping to Canada would make it expansive. I have the same Farallon compass, doubt it’s as old as the 60’s but maybe someone here can provide the actual production years.
