As many know, when it comes to RAID, I have consumed every last drop of the orange Kool-Aid. I am RAID through and through so it was a great honor to have them reach out to me and our dive center to do a video for #MeetTheTeamTuesday.
Yes, I am tooting my own horn a bit but who else is going...
Anyone ever have a transmitter battery lid get damaged? The slot has become misshapen. I used a coin to try and unscrew the lid but the lid was tighter than expected and the coin slipped, making the slot...well, no longer a slot. Now I can't access the battery and my transmitter is useless.
I am curious, if you could build a full trimix fill station, what would yours look like and do you have pics of something similar to what your dream fill station would like?
I am curious what the SB community would recommend for a sidemount rig. Before you answer let me tell you a couple things. I dive sidemount almost exclusively and have for years. The only times I don't is when I am teaching a course where I can't use it and when I am on the rebreather. I am...
My friend's father passed away recently and she found an Air 1 in his gear. It was never used and is now listed on ebay with a starting bid of $300.
I figured someone here might be interested since we have such a large number of vintage SP enthusiasts here.
Air 1
I went to Thailand in May of 2019 and explored Bangkok while attending the Thai Dive Expo and then did some dives around Phi Phi Islands. I am working on becoming a better videographer but this project was more about post production as I was diving my XDeep wing for the first time as well as my...

Communication is King
Never in the history of our industry has communication been more important. We are excited to let you know that we are about to launch a new digital dive magazine that we are calling “The...
I am a wreck diver who never wanted to dive caves but in the last year or so I have had this unrelenting desire to dive caves.
With that end in mind, I have been looking at the different options for helmets and wondered what you have chosen and why you made that decision.
I found this while scrolling through what was on TV the previous day. I have watched the first episode (a two hour premiere about two different wrecks) and have the second one to watch still.
Shipwreck Secrets
I could do without the annoying voice of the announcer but as a wreck lover with a...
After many of the discussions on here about different agencies I thought as a community, both divers and instructors, we could have a good discussion about the ideal training agency.
As divers, what do you like and dislike about training organizations? What do they do well and what do they do...
Many of us here have avatars that are us in dive gear so I thought it would be fun to strip it away. I know many of you by screen name and can pick you out of images in dive gear but would not be able to pick you out of crowd in street clothes.
So much like the selfie thread we had, I propose...
I will be in Thailand for about 16 days but will be staying in Kamala 21-28 May and am looking to do a few days of diving. I have had hit or miss luck with dive ops responding back and one that had outrageous prices for three dives.
Any suggestions for good dive centers to contact? We will be...
After reading this thread in the Basic Scuba section, I thought it would be nice to have all of us blenders discuss our own best practices for partial pressure blending.
The +/- 1% is what divers are looking for and from my experience, this is not always the easiest to achieve due to many...
I normally dive backmount with tech shorts, even when I am teaching. My left pocket holds my backup mask and torch and my right pocket holds my SMB and spool as well as my wetnotes.
I am still using them in sidemount but with the arrival (any day now) of my XDeep Stealth Tec, I was curious if...
I am searching around the world for the best dive locations to do wreck, cave and deep tech dives. I am not cave trained but it has been calling me lately and I now know I will get full cave. I have always had the lust for rust so wrecks are my thing and deep diving is what I have been focused...
I was on the site yesterday and noticed it says "Ordering disabled while we finalize the new website"
Can you give us any insight as to the changes we might see or maybe even added gear that will be listed or is it top secret?
I am currently taking my side mount course and want to expand my knowledge of systems, skills and theories. Are there any sites you would recommend me to look at for quality reading or videos to watch? I want to be sure I am not getting bad information as I know there are a ton of sites for...
The Deep 6 Eddy Fins by Deep Six Expedition Dive Gear is a relatively new fin when compared to some of the other brands on the market. Deep Six is owned by Chris Richardson who used to manage HOG/Edge. Chris is well-known in the diving industry and from what I have seen, is very trusted...
We went diving January 4-6th in Fujairah, UAE at Freestyle Divers. Part of the dive weekend was for my RAID Advanced 35 course with @RainPilot and the rest were fun dives while also working on my skills.
