    Dive Xtras CudaX

Yeah, the price gave me a pause. I imagine if a person is upgrading from a BlackTip this is an amazing device

    Dive Xtras CudaX

Much bigger motor vs blacktip and fairly longer run time, metal body, integrated vac test. Spiffy colors too :)

Drysuit for both short and wide woman with a large bust and hips?

+3 votes for Seaskin made to measure suits. My GF and her friend are both same height as you and both are incredibly happy with their drysuits.

Shearwater Peregrine AI (sort of ... console mount)

It's a console, all are fugly. I think it kinda goes against the established demographic of Shearwater and SB bubble has been vocal about Peregrine release without AI option as strange. If only we could see sales numbers...

    Garmin Descent MK2

Don't think so. Frequency Range 2.402-2.48 GHz is Bluetooth so not for tank pod integration. Perhaps MK2 minus the i?

    Cressi T10 SC Master Chromo

What about getting both serviced? I dive the T10 and the small profile is great for travel, but local dive shops will not touch Cressi due to parts availability

    Garmin Descent MK2

Are you sure we're misguided? I like dolphin smacking

    Cressi Digi 2

The device provides gas pressure, time to empty, depth, and timer, so I can see it being useful in replacing a bulkier SPG + depth gauge console and a watch. Not an essential device, but not useless. However, at $250 it is way too expensive and I agree with "too much money" conclusion

    Garmin Descent MK2

We are in full speculation mode, so I get to dream :)

    Garmin Descent MK2

Info? Nope Rumors? A bunch Announcement was expected at DEMA 2019 and nothing came of it. Now it is CES, or maybe May ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There is a rumor of two versions one with wireless AI and one without. I am hoping Garmin uses a standard tank pod from PPS and not a custom one

    new diver, wisconsin to seattle

Seattle has a ton of shore dives with various levels of difficulty and if you have the gear to be somewhat independent it is great. Where are you going to end up? Might want to look into local dive groups after your refresher to get some dives in before going for AOW. I am part of...

What do you want or wish you had from your LDS? All good, all bad...

Depends on the markup and also the LDS should have a reasonable price matching policy. If a pair of fins are $99 shipped online and $149+tax at the store and LDS doesn't bother coming close, yeah, I am buying online. Get within $10 and I am buying at the LDS due to instant gratification

    Wow... Perdix AI

Hehe, DGE pricing is messed up right now. My cart is showing Shearwater Research Perdix-AI Dive Computer SKU#: SRI-PERDIX-AI Language Version English Add a transmitter? With Two Transmitters Order Total $1.06 I'll take 8!:yeahbaby:

    Buying gear

Don't overlook details like regulator service and spare part availability for other gear when buying off eBay/CL. Most dive shops only service short list of reg/computer makes and it could get expensive to ship your stuff for regular services.

    The Diving Bug

When you start diving it is a new exciting activity with incredible number of new toys. There is always something new to learn and new specialties give a person achievable goals to look forward to. After some time the novelty wears off only to be replaced by mastering attempts. Can this facet of...

    Using eco-friendly accessories?

I highly recommend the "Reuse, Reduce" parts of the oft repeated phrase as recycling is vastly misunderstood by people in recycling nations. Maybe use the mask strap in a save-a-dive kit? Possible to use the glass to repair another mask? Use the broken mask in your shop as decoration instead...

    Trident magnetic octo retainer?

I don't have the reg holder, but I have my primary light on a magnet/coil. Holding the light with 1/2 of the magnet pair in my right hand will mess with the compass on my left wrist slightly if closer than 30-40cm. It isn't a quick jump of the needle, more gradual float. My biggest annoyance is...

    Are dry suits worth it?

    My shoes before a dive

    Are dry suits worth it?

For cheap and stylish rock boots I'm using a pair of high top Converse shoes. They go well with ankle weights, get many "I like the shoes" comments, and only spent $30.
