    Fixing bent fins

I have had good luck making bent fin tips flat by placing a weight on the opposite side. If the bend is really stubborn, use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the plastic up first.

Minimum Surface Intervals When Not Using Tables

Okay, thanks everyone. So I need to check to see if the future NDL time would be appropriate for my next dive.

Minimum Surface Intervals When Not Using Tables

I have read the manual a couple times. I am going to sign up for the DIV Nav class when I get a chance. I did not see the topic addressed. The manual is very detailed. I guess I am used to using the PADI tables.

Minimum Surface Intervals When Not Using Tables

I believe my Geo 2.0 does show NDLs when using the Planning feature. On my last dives I was staying within NDL that was always recalculating as I was changing depths. I took an hour for an SI.

Minimum Surface Intervals When Not Using Tables

I was curious how divers are calculating their proper surface intervals when not using tables or square dive profiles on repetitive dives. For example, if I go on a 3 tank dive, and I am using a dive computer on a multi level dive. I stay within the NDL according to the computer. How do I know...

    Deep Dives

In AOW went to around 65' in jettys. I was hoping it was going to be 100' also. So I could be narc'd with an instructor. No boat was available. I haven't felt narcossis to my knowledge. Thanks all for the great advice. Seems getting more shallow dives would be the way to go.

    Deep Dives

Rental AL 80 tanks. Which seems like it would really limit bottom time. I eventually want to get a pony because I am a belt and suspenders type guy, and I realize ultimately only I can really save my life underwater. I heard a SEAL say everytime your in the water it is a real time Op. I agree...

    Deep Dives

Thanks for the advice. Charter is the Gulf of Mexico NW FL. Offshore bridge spans and wrecks. No DM going in the water that I know of. Guides I think are $100. Previous dives are a mix of quarry dives with horrible viz, and a boat dive in the Gulf. IDK my exact SAC rate. On my previous boat...

    Deep Dives

Hello, I have the chance to go on a charter that will be going to sites in the 90 ft to 120 ft range. I have 15 dives total at this point (deepest was 75 ft.). I also have my AOW and Nitrox certs. If I go on the charter, it will be luck of the draw on insta-buddies or possibly no buddy as...

Dive Report, PCB, PC Dive Center

I have a dive scheduled with them next month. Thanks for the report. Rental seems to be hit nor miss it seems. That's disappointing. How difficult was it to get a 3-tank trip scheduled?

Has anybody been able to get a package deal from a dive shop in PCB for like 3 2-tank trips and gear rental? Thanks.

    Best PCB Inshore Sites?

Thanks for info. It would be awesome to see something like that. Maybe, I'll be able to find something once I get closer to the dates I'll be down there.

    Best PCB Inshore Sites?

Thanks all for the suggestions. I spoke with a dive shop. It seems 3 tank trips and night dives are hard to sell. Seems the shop favored 2 tank trips. Guides were $85. Are night dives around PCB worthwhile?

    Paddle Fins for Open Water?

Hi, I am looking fins for general purpose open water diving and snorkeling. I like the idea of a neutrally bouyant paddle fin such as the Deep 6 Eddy fin for frog kicking. The DIR system appeals to me. I've only used mares quattros and some traditional aqua lung fins before. Would the...
