I cannot imagine the horror you are dealing with. Like many have said, I cannot imagine loosing a child. I do want to commend you for reaching out for help. Even if it’s to a bunch of strangers/family on Scubaboard.
This looks like a great product to have.....inside the USA. Won’t do much good elsewhere if this applies to the IR strobe:
“It is a major crime to ship or carry US manufactured night vision devices outside the borders of the United States, punishable by fines and prison sentences.”
Anyone know?
As DAN and your doctors have said not DCS, I would look elsewhere.
I’m no doctor, but I’d think something else is going on. Muscle strain. Sleeping on a different bed. Other diseases...
Even if DCS was the culprit initially, it would not usually be causing new symptoms 5 weeks later
We are in the Basic forum. So I think it’s important to point out that recreational, non-technical diving is no stop diving. In an out of gas situation, you do not have to make a stop. If you have the gas, then a safety stop is advisable. But it’s not required!
Christi is giving you great advice! Book with one of the smaller outfits and get picked up at the dock. You will have a much better time!
That said, I will be diving with ProDive the week of 6/17 because I have some credit to use from being rained out last year in Playa del Carmen.
But once...
Hey
@JK Oregon and @Scubasis23 I forgot about some credits I have with ProDive from being rained out last year. So I’ll be diving with ProDive the week of 6/17 and move over to Aldora the next week. Hope to meet you both!
I once had to take a chamber ride for some slight numbness in my hand. It was 60 feet on 100% O2. Of course I was flat on my back, resting and took 15 minute air breaks for every 30 minutes of 100% O2.
It was implied and I always thought OxTox was instant if you went above 1.6. But it’s more...
For those of you whining :D about having just purchased a Perdix, I’m buying one as soon as my house closes on 6/6. Hit me up on DM with you best price and let’s see if I can help you get a Teric.
A correction from the email conversation...
“Camera’s and lights are considered PED’s (Personal Electronic Device) and technically are allowed in checked baggage. SWA only recommends PED’s be in carryon, but if unable, the device must be turned completely off. Are the lights “heat producing”...
Dude! I do get it. This is a safety issue. I work for an airline. And I travel with my lithium batteries. We do NOT want lithium batteries in the checked bags. If there is a battery fire, aircraft fire systems cannot put it out. I do not want MY aircraft to have a problem.
That said, I do...
The Mexican officials won’t be on board with you if there is a lithium battery fire in the bin of the aircraft.
That said, I do intend to run this up the flagpole at headquarters. I’ll see what they say.
From the FAA web page.
As of May 2, 2018, 206 air/airport incidents involving lithium batteries carried as cargo or baggage that have been recorded since March 20, 1991
