Bauer Junior with refillable filter and media for sale.
Bauer Junior Scuba Compressor .Fill to 5000. Great compressor that comes with SS "refillable" filter and media/filter pads to re-pack yourself. I had this unit serviced at Specialty Air in Orange County when I bought it 2 years ago. I used...
Not to interrupt here but how do Rix air compressors differ from, say a Bauer in function and quality? I know that the Rix is an oil-less compressor, is that better or not better. Thx
Michael,
Thank you! The 70 to 80 tanks is more than double than what I was expecting. I already bought the hopoclite so I will probably just go ahead and use it. Do you use an oxy sensor? Tommy
Thanks Dave. I bought the ss filter housing and the media already. So I have plenty enough for the near term. What kind of "bigger filter" is there and where do I buy one when I'm ready? Also, won't I be filling the Media in that also?
Thanks for your help. Tommy
I'm not your guy in terms of technical advice but one trick that I used was putting a screwdriver to the 2 posts to jump it. If it runs then you know its not in the motor. Are you sure there isn't moisture fouling it? You can take all the connections and soak in vinegar/soda solution to clean...
I will be filling maybe a dozen or more tanks a week with my Bauer Junior compressor. To cut costs, I'd like to pick up a SS filter housing and begin refilling the media myself. Is doing this all pretty straight forward? It looks easy enough once a person learns the quantities? Thanks, Tommy
This is a solid machine in your price range. It can be upgraded. I have 2 of them and love them. I'm not diving caves tho.

Actually, mine ended up being a simple fix. Had the wrong pulley on and the belt was slipping. DOH! Haha. Thank you for the info. Also, they said that it is pumping as it should now but getting a little more than usual blow-back and will need a new 3rd stage piston at some point. Expensive??
Does anyone have an idea of how much it costs to change out the final stage and the intake and exhaust valves of an older Bauer Junior (1) compressor? tommy7@rocketmail.com
Thank You, Tommy
