Knowing your (more or less) instaneous rate of air consumption is an amazing biofeedback tool which allows you to extend your diving time (if gas limited as a opposed to ndl limited) significantly by having an indicator of your exertion level.

Beaches in Turks makes you get an onsite doctor's checkup before you dive unless you check no on every box on their form or have a doctor at home sign the form. You basically lose a full day or more if diving if you have any Rx.
Also, I found doing a pool dive is great for zeroing your weighting too. Then do the math and compensate for the fresh vs salt water and the air above 500psi remaining in your tank. Try it with all your wetsuits too.
