    Shane Thompson

I read about this just after arriving here to Colorado. I didn't know Shane, but I am truly sorry for everyone's loss, and pass on my sincerest condolences.

    Metric or Imperial?

I have to say for me I think the metric is easier, but I'll make sure my computer/s can do both metric and imperial. Still on the fence as far as pressure gauges. D

    Metric or Imperial?

Yes, I can see where if you are each using a different method, the misunderstanding that could occur. I have decided I'll get one that calculates both metric and imperial. D

    Metric or Imperial?

From looking at the different dive computers, at least the ones I'm reading about calculate in both. My big issue is I am not too good with math, but doing calculations in metric I feel a lot less dumb. lol D

    Metric or Imperial?

I too, just lean more towards metric. I've been looking at dive computers and at least the ones I'm reading about, will calculate both in metric and imperial. My big issue is I suck at math, and I understand the metric way a bit easier than the other. Thanks AJ and Tbone for the advice! D

    Metric or Imperial?

As my goal is to take some tech diving classes, and as I'm in the process of updating/improving my scuba gear, I feel compelled to ask...which is more commonly used, Metric? or Imperial? I am currently reading Steve Lewis' book, "Staying Alive" and it just seems at least for me, to calculate in...

    Just finished "The Last Dive".

I'm currently reading "Last Dive" and "Fatal Depth" the latter by Joe Haberstroh. "Shadow Divers" is on order, and I've read "Diver Down" and imo, ALL divers could benefit from reading the latter. :D D

    Just finished "fatal depths"

I just finished reading this and it was such a good read. I'm currently reading "Last Dive" by Bernie Chowdhury, which is so far very good, and I'm reading "Fatal Depth" and I have to say so far I prefer "Deep Descent". D

Hello! From Ghosty in Denver, CO.

Thanks for the information, John! I see you're an instructor, so once I've bought more gear maybe I could take a course or two with you? I do have an older bcd and regs, but I'm looking to replace them as I think they are probably damaged. So I'm in the process of buying new. Perhaps it's best...

Hello & Welcome! I'm pretty new here myself. Are you near to Denver? My eldest daughter recently got a job in CO, and we'll be located about 3 hours from Denver in a little place called Trinidad. Anyway, happy & safe diving! D

    Regulators

Hello Sean, I'm surprised you're not being provided with rental equipment while you're learning/training for your OW. I'm also intrigued and concerned that your LDS was okay with your purchasing breathing apparatus as you're not yet certified. Maybe it's just me, but you might want to consider...
