Well what's the reasonable budget? I use two BigBlue Black Molly's. (the current version is BigBlue AL2900xwp) While they provide more than enough light for the murky waters in the Netherlands. They have a hard time producing enough light for clear tropical waters. They go for €350 each.

I'd say it depends on the depth your diving. When we were there our max depth was about 36 feet with an avarage of 20. I wouldn't use a filter unless the water is a bit murky (we had clear view), and then a magenta would be best I think.

It all depends on the use case of the light. But overall i'd like the beam to be as tight as possible. Yea I had the same idea, just tried it, it's 5/16" the M8 nut goes on a few turns before it gets stuck. (no worries I didn't force it any further)

Thanx, it's 304SS but that's okay so is the wingnut that the wing came with it. As soon as I have the threading confirmed I can order them (or not). Delivery times appear to be april-june, but at least the price is O.K.
