Rainbow Reef boats damaged by whacko boater

I get that. I was just being a little facetious, but the law you linked to specifically states, "In cases of a maritime personal injury or wrongful death claims, the Limitation Act allows vessel owners to limit or restrict liability owed to the injured parties to the value of the vessel." so I...

Rainbow Reef boats damaged by whacko boater

That's one reason I don't do mini season in the keys. Rainbow reef should put a lien on that yacht to cover the damages and when they don't pay up foreclose on it and boom they have a live aboard.

Hit & Run on Scallop diver - Florida

Ouch. Sounds like they missed one thing and that sucks. My personal flag is 20" X 24" and I used a wooden dowel to replace the cheap wire stiffener. The one thing the state of Florida doesn't specify for the diver towed flag is a height of the staff it is attached to. I made my own float using...

Info Scalloper hit and run injury, reward for info

Wish I did and if I did I might would have an encounter of my own with them before passing the info to FWC. I really hope they catch the person. From what I have read Jason got messed up pretty bad and it's going to be sometime before he gets healed and close to back to normal. I wish him the best.

JUP Rpt Jul 15 - TOTALLY Blue !!

🤞 Hope it stays that way for mini season next week! I've been watching these reports with baited breath. The only thing I wonder though is 77deg at 80' with all the talk about it being overly warm that doesn't seem like it to me.

    O2 Cleaning

More fuel on the fire :gas:(pun intended) I happened to come across this from Luxifer. They require O2 cleaning for anything over 23.5% O2. I am not saying I agree with them just providing the link to their FAQ...

    Beware of breeding tanks

Just had to put it out there my tanks have reproduced again. I now have 2 new lp 108 family members. They are like rabbits.

Haven't been on the board for a while and have a tank specific question

So I would get a piece of 4" or 6' PVC pipe and cut it to the length you need and set it down under the tank as you put it in the rack.

    Tank Manufacturer ID

Yep PST tanks I have 2 of them myself. Heavy as hell but good diving tanks. Mine were made in 77 and still pass hydro. I got a good deal on them, 3 for $450 and sold the odd one for $200.

Ok. Who peed in the kiddie pool?

Yeah the 90's is a bit warm but the low to mid 80's gets a little cool on dive #5 and 6 of the day even though I carry around my own layer of blubber.

Ok. Who peed in the kiddie pool?

I notice the same thing this year. Temps have been cooler this year as compared to the last couple of years. I have had to wear thicker suits later this year than the last 2 years I have been here.

Are most SoFla dive shops banking Nitrox or using membrane or stick?

Like Jim said Force-E banks and they are almost everywhere in SE Florida. They bank 36% and can blend down from there which is great. I use them when I need fills while over there. They fill proper and also you can buy a fill card at any location and it is good at all of them.
