Can someone please identify these tanks for me.

Hi, I have been out of the sport for about a year and I am looking at clearing out some of my tanks. Can someone please tell me what brand they are and what they may be worth? They are still within Hydro and inspection and air has not been moved in them since the last inspection 10 months ago...

Will 433 mhz radio freq work under water?

I am building a sea scooter and looking to keep everything sealed. Amazon has a 400 mhz remote 12v switch. It states the max transmitting distance is approx 90 feet. I am looking at having the key fob about 15" away as the on off switch and the receiver in the body of the scooter. Will a 400mhz...

    Certification is costly

I fly Paramotors and they are a little more expensive, about 7-12k new and the wings cost about 3k. The majority of my scuba stuff I bought used. A bcd for $75, a tank our of hydro, reg and gauge set all for $100. I did rebuild everything but they had less than 20 dives on it. I then got a 7mm...

Taking Rescue Course and I don't think the conditions are good to dive in.

You are right, the book work for the rescue class gave me a lot more knowledge. One of the reasons I did it was getting out of your comfort zone does make you better. It is definitely the hardest and most strenuous class I have taken. I am glad I did it after I took a nap I feel a lot better lol!

Taking Rescue Course and I don't think the conditions are good to dive in.

You are right, I had no problem in the pool in nice conditions it was just a day with conditions I was not comfortable being in. If I didn't have to do the class I would have not dived but I am glad its over with and I did it.

Yup there were others out there. But I do agree surfing would have been much more enjoyable lol!

Taking Rescue Course and I don't think the conditions are good to dive in.

I just got back from the rescue class. I knew the conditions were not going to be very good when I could hear the waves 2 blocks away and it started to sprinkle. We started out with the carrying the diver out 3 different ways. It was pretty bad, whenever a wave hit us my buddy would go flying...

Taking Rescue Course and I don't think the conditions are good to dive in.

My biggest issue, is I already rescheduled once and they waived the rescheduling fee. I just do not wanna push my luck I trying to reschedule again. I fly ultra lights, and we have a saying.” It’s better to be on the ground wishing you were in the sky than being in the sky and wishing you were...

Taking Rescue Course and I don't think the conditions are good to dive in.

I signed up for the rescue course and I have done the pool portion without a problem, it was tiring and difficult but I did it. Tomorrow we have the OW portion of it where we repeat the skills. I only have about 20 dives under my belt and we shore dive in cooler water (50-60f) in San Diego. We...

How many dives does it take for one to be competent?

I am not a competent diver yet. I just started diving about 5 months ago, but have taken OW, AOW, nitrox, Drysuit and now Rescue classes. In my drysuit class, I was the most inexperienced guy there in terms of dives (about 20) there were people who did 100 boat dives. When I went diving with...

    Buoyancy with drysuit?

My instructor was telling us that we can hold a bubble in your upper back and slowly vent it when going up. I never felt it and it seemed complicated to me. Honestly the drysuit scares me a lot more than using a wetsuit. My biggest fear is shooting up to the surface feet first.

    Buoyancy with drysuit?

Seems like a waste i paid for the class lol! My suit is a little oversized in the upper torso area. but it is a dui 50/50 is nice and tight in my legs I dive with a hp 120 tank so you recommend mainly using the BC then?

    Buoyancy with drysuit?

I just took my PADI drysuit class. They say to keep the drysuit valve completely open and let all he air out of your BC then only control your buoyancy with your drysuit only by adding and letting air out. A guy I dive with says all the other agencies tell people to adjust buoyancy with the BC...

    Purge valve masks?

Is the best way to clear the mask when there is some water in the nose piece to put your head face down so the purge valve is at the lowest point? Or having your head level so the valve is parallel to the ground?
