Need DS Undergarment for cold water wimp in SoCal

Description as above. I'm a cold water wimp diving in SoCal, temps range from high 40's to high 60's. Currently using one of the DUI undergarments that went for $12 at the close of Sport Chalet. It's not bad, but I start to get cold after about 10 minutes in the mid 50's. I'm dreaming of the...

    Sitech drysuit inflator o-ring size

My sitech inflator has been leaking. I purchased an o-ring from home depot that seemed to fit, and worked for a few dives, however now it's leaking again.

    Si-tech Inflator Service Kit Or O-ring #s?

I"m trying to service my drysuit Si-Tech inflator (failed o-ring), but having difficulty locating a source for the service kit. I've found a couple of kits online in europe, but nothing here in the US. Not even @Dive Right In Scuba has them listed that I can find. Failing that, does anyone...

Trim changing with depth (new wetsuit)

I dove a new wetsuit this week for the first time in forever. Typically dive dry. The suit is a 7mm farmer john type. I have a Freedom Plate (~4lbs I think), and distribute weight in a weight belt and in a pocket on the butt portion of my crotch strap. I did two dives. On the first dive, upon...

    Petrel Bungee thingy...

Took delivery of a Petrel, but did not receive the bungee attachment points in the box. Have read here and elsewhere that the stock ones don't seem robust enough. Has anyone come up with alternatives, or is there a way I can get the stock ones anyway?

Salvo SR(?) First Stage environmental seal balloon!

I inherited a Salvo first stage (nearly identical to HOG D1) that had been cave diving. Apparently, while it was being breathed on, the environmental seal ballooned significantly. The reg was passed on to me to work on, use as a doorstop or paperweight. I decided to take it apart the other...

    P/N for Salvo HID switch

IIt's a 10 watt if that makes a difference. flooded the battery compartment, switch is toast. Picked one up from Home Depot to test, but it doesn't fit well. Does anyone have a replacement part number handy? Perhaps the switch cover as well, as its likely seen better days.

    Sidemount for SoCal shore dives?

I've been reading a lot on the 'Board about open water sidemount diving. It seems many folks are switching from back mount doubles to side mount doubles, yet I haven't seen any here in SoCal (except once maybe 3 or so years ago, and I didn't pay close attention then). Based on the discussions...

    Dead dolphin at Veterans Park

Vets going through a "Renourishment Project"

http://www.mercurynews.com/california/ci_21249146/marina-del-rey-dredging-project-replenish-redondo-beach Apparently this was done before in 2000. Anyone have recollections about this, and how it impacted conditions? Also, since they call it "nourishment", can we eat it? :rofl3:

SiTech dump valve not dumping effectively (White's Fusion)

Been diving this suit for a while, so know what to expect. Last night I noticed immediately upon decent that the suit was not squeezing me as usual. When ascending, I had to hit the dump valve to get sufficient exhaust not to balloon out of control. Today I plugged up the seals and pumped it...
