How negative are F1 Bat fins?

When you say 1-1.5lbs negative are you saying each or both combined? Thanks!

How negative are F1 Bat fins?

Are we talking total for both fins or PER each fin? Id hate to get them and still be buoyant and need ankle weights because I don't think they make any ankle weights lighter than 1lb. Adding a bit of air to feet in a drysuit to make them float is not hard but trying to get your feet to sink...

How negative are F1 Bat fins?

All you Bat fin users...how negative are they? Currently in a drysuit I wear 1-1.5lb ankle weights with my neutral/floaty scubapro Jet Sport fins. Since I dive dry and sometimes with doubles I am looking for a more technical/stiff fin like a Jet or F1 Bat fin. I have a good source for a good...

Trim in doubles between x7-100 HP100s and newer XS scuba Faber HP100

Thanks this part "Now, IF you want to have Worthington 100's and Faber 100's, I would recommend a 6lb v-weight on the Fabers to get them to feel the same as the Worthingtons, or if you are using a light plate on the Worthingtons, use a SS plate on the Fabers" is the exact part I was after! I...

Trim in doubles between x7-100 HP100s and newer XS scuba Faber HP100

yeah I have heard that. The real concern is doing two dives in a day using both sets and the change in trim. If it is just slight trim adjustment, I.e. one set rides different in their own tank bands, or maybe moving the wing/plate into different position mounting holes then that is fine, but if...

Trim in doubles between x7-100 HP100s and newer XS scuba Faber HP100

Hoping someone could enlighten me about the trim differences one might expect from going from double x7-100 HP100s to the newer coated xs-scuba faber HP100s (Heard these are actually more like 107 cuft). Here is a link to the faber's I have for your reference...

    Drysuit inflator valve is firm...

Just serviced it a couple days ago following people's advice on here. It was easy. There was a bit dirt in the valve. It is all cleaned and put back together is much more smooth. Hopefully I tightened down on the suit enough so it doesn't leak.

    Drysuit inflator valve is firm...

Suit has never seen salt water. What lube do you use on the orings? should I take apart the valve to lube or is there an easier way?

    Drysuit inflator valve is firm...

thanks. Never removed an inflator valve from a drysuit (Bare Trilam). Is it as simple as twisting it off? If I use white vinegar do I use pure or diluted? Do I rinse in water after? About how long to soak and can the vinegar eat anything inside the valve? Thanks and sorry to bombard you with...

    Drysuit inflator valve is firm...

All, my drysuit inflator valve button is firm to push. Not too bad but from what I have read can be remedied by use of silicone spray (sprayed into the the metal quick connect), however, after further reading it is thought that silicone sprays are really bad for drysuit materials. What are your...

Do training dives (at depth) count as your dive count for Tech cert?

Thanks for your comments. There is one instructor in my area, who if he thinks you are competent enough, will roll all the tec 40, 45, and 50 into basically one large training session. Something like 8 classes and obviously multiple dive days or so I have heard. I have not spoken to him...

Do training dives (at depth) count as your dive count for Tech cert?

these places sound amazing but right now all my cash is spent for trips this summer haha. I will get them on the list.

Do training dives (at depth) count as your dive count for Tech cert?

Thanks. No instructor yet. Just starting to look into the tec courses. I definitely understand having a more diversified experience and will continue to do so. I would say right now 30 of my dives are in one location (cove of a lake), 20 more are in other locations in the same lake, 20 are in...

Do training dives (at depth) count as your dive count for Tech cert?

All, I am in a location which there are only so many spots to dive with out a lot of travel/expenses involved which means I routinely dive the same places (lakes and quarries). All these places have varying depths from shallows of 20ft all the way down to 200+ feet, I stay in the 130ft or less...

    Hog Rebuild Kits

All, I went looking for rebuild kits for my hog d3 and zenith second stages and all I can find are D1s and classics. Are they the same kits? I plan on taking my reg course in the next 6 months, but I wanted to buy a stash of these kits now just in case Hog ever went out of business.

Average Drysuit Inflator Hose Length On Doubles?

I'll have to measure the one I've been using on my singles and go from there it sounds like. I also have a big chest 51in

Average Drysuit Inflator Hose Length On Doubles?

All, I've been googling and trying to find a starting point for length for inflator hoses used on drysuit with doubles. I know the drysuit inflator hose will be coming off the left post but I have seen hose lengths recommendations ranging from 24in to 35in. I understand it will differ somewhat...

    Dual Bladder Rigging Questions?

Gotcha...thought I had stated I didn't want to argue back and forth which type wing is better. Just looking for some clarification on proper setup when using one is all.
