You could go in under the docks in Big Tub Harbour and do a dive at 20-40 ft. Suit up out of your car parked on the road or in the parking lot of the motel and walk down the stairs and jump in off the docks.
There are a couple of very large sunken submarine cylinders that were used in a cascade...
The Lady Dufferin is used primarily to do deep dives - not for the scenery!
There is a nice, shallow shore dive with good vis at Little Cove, which is the same bay that the Niagara II wreck is in.
You could also scooter out to the wreck instead of going on a charter boat.
The Transport Canada Compliance Notice on a boat sets out the limits of people and weight for that boat, but those limits apply only in good weather, and they assume the weight is evenly distributed on board.
In this case apparently the weight shifted with the wave action and contributed to the...
I would suggest first checking the voltage on the switch in the on and off positions when its connected to a battery. You should be able to go to an electronics store and buy a replacement generic switch if necessary.
Thanks for your very informative writeup. I'm thinking that a battery pack made up of 4 or 8 18650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries at 3.7V 3800mAh each would work well. Four of the larger 26650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries at 3.7V 4800mAh would work as well.
Should be an improvement matching LED...
For a lot of divers, the best bang for the buck is the older steel 72's. Girls can usually get almost the same bottom time as a guy on a larger steel tank. Divers like the lighter weight and smaller size as well as the much lower price.
The original K valve can be swapped out for a 200-bar DIN...
In my admittedly limited experience, most plastics seem to be subject to material fatigue over time. For instance, the Tekna scooters from the 80's seem to have a noticeable rate of stress fractures at critical locations in the hull like the bulkheads. I suppose it might be too early in the...
Apparently you can use a MKVII prop on your MKII with a thin metal washer behind the prop. The MKVII prop is supposed to improve the thrust a little. There is a MKVII prop on ebay right now.
I have a Tektite strobe 300 for sale. New, never been wet. Used by tech divers, military and fire fighters for high visiblity marking or distress. Use on a wreck to mark an upline. Use on shore to mark entrance/exit point - visible for several miles on land (conditions permitting).
This is...
I would have thought that the luxurious amenities of the cabin included with this job offer would be more suitable for a guest couple than a single crew person.
Going to college is irrelevant to the size of wing needed for diving, as you should know. Just keep the rec wing - for any diver who knows how to handle a wing/backplate setup, it will work just fine for single tank diving as well as double tank diving.
I don't know how, in all good conscience, you can try to sell an older, used, dive computer without a DOA guarantee, for $275. Are you expecting that we should treat this like a spin on the roulette table???
I certainly wouldn't pay more than $10 for a mere chance of getting a working dive...
