What would Mindoro Straight boat possibly have to do with Tubbataha liveaboard ?

Can anyone tell me if the dive weights on the Tubbataha liveaboards Stella Maris or Oceanic 3 are in LBS., or KGS ? Do they carry 2 and 3 lb. weights.

We will be on the same boat with you. We have actually decided to book back to back trips,2 may-8 may and 9 may-15 may, instead of trying to figure out where else to travel to, and to again dive.

Have you looked into IBEROSTAR COZUMEL ? IT is a true all inclusive, with DRESSEL DIVERS, an excellent dive op located right on the resort. I know, everyone on this board will sing and dance about staying in town. But, do you really want to take a half hour or more boat ride for every dive ? Oh...

Got to tell you. Would have thought by now that somene would have devised something better than a dust cap .

The tank is the best idea, however you do not always have acces to a tank on vacation .

I, m much more careful than that. Actually fix med . Equipment for living, and have habit of overchecking things. But how efficient are the dust covers , " really " ? What happens if some moisture does get into 1 st stage inlet ?

What is everyones feeling regarding Auto Closure Device on 1st stage? How important a feature is this in choosing a regulator?

Well, after all of your input, and help, think I'm settling on the amphos air wrist , w/ a spg. This to go along W/ Flathead LT, and octo. Should be a nice little warm water travel package.

Scubalawrence, thanks for your insight regarding short 6 inch hose. Makes a lot of sense. How do you keep it from slapping against things? What do you secure it to? Do those 6 inches affect readings at all? There is a great deal on Sherwood Amphos right now. My other choice is Oceanic PRO PLUS...

Putting my first personal scuba set together. Deciding between integrated wrist computer, or integrated console. Was going to go with wrist type, but unsure of delicate nature of transmitter vs. console , especially when traveling. Consoles have QD, for proection. Any thoughts here ?

Thanks again for all input. Today I found a shop that has a Prestige 22 DPD. MR 22 1st stage and prestige unbalanced second stage w/vortex assist. I know it's discontinued, but I know mr22 is well known workhorse, and this reg did get great scubalab reviews. What do you all think ? Still Titan LX ?
