Question Fathom Dive Systems has their own version of a Genesis Warp Core?

I just saw this Magnus for sale on FB. What really got my attention was the battery pack for it that looks like a ... looks very similar to the Genesis Warp Core battery pack. And then I found a post from Fathom on FB from 2021 announcing these new battery replacements for Magnus and some other...

    Question Understanding battery pack math

I'm trying to better understand some of the math related to my DPV battery pack. I have a Genesis 2.1, so that is what I'll be using as an example. Please correct me on what I say that is wrong! The specs say it has 850 Wh of capacity. It has 72 indvidual 18650 cells which are 3500 mAh (i.e...

Question Tech diving in Red Sea North?

I'm going on the Allstar Liveaboards Red Sea boat (the All Star Scuba Scene) March 4 - 11. We'll be doing their North itinerary. (diving the Thistlegorm has been on my bucket list for a while!) The boat offers OC technical and CCR support. I'm trying to decide whether to bother taking my CCR...

Battery charger for Genesis and other DPVs

A gentleman named Drew Wilson posted about this in a FB group I'm in. Thank you to him for posting and sharing his info about it! I'm not sure if he's on SB or not. I don't see any discussion about it here on SB, so ... here is some. LOL I just got one of these chargers. They market it as...

    Info DPV models and specs

I put together this spreadsheet of various current models of scooters that are popular (at least, among people I know). I thought it might be useful to post as a sticky, if a mod is so inclined. I can add more to it, if people want to provide info. In particular, I would like to have the SS...

Sold! Atomic TFX DIN reg set BNIB

My shop is an Atomic dealer. We ordered this reg set back in July. It has finally arrived. Meanwhile, due to circumstances of me being impatient, I acquired another TFX for my personal use in the meantime. So, this DIN Atomic TFX reg set (1st and 2nd stage) is brand new in the box. I actually...

    Divesoft flow limiter O-ring size?

I have a Divesoft trimix analyzer with the older style Divesoft Pro Flow Limiter. Last week, the O-ring between the two main parts of it extruded. A DIN O-ring is too thick. A Yoke valve O-ring is too small. VERY frustrating. Does anybody know what size O-ring goes there and where I can get a...

    Attachment links broken

You probably already know this, but in case not. Not all, but many attachment links are broken. These are not old links, either. Some are from this past Sunday. Some from yesterday. Just that I've seen so far. Sometimes, I click one and got an Oops, page not found error. But, more concerning...

    Sold! ScubaPro D400 x 3

We have these 3 D400s at the shop. I'm looking for a good home for them. They have not been serviced. They do lock up when under pressure. Make me a reasonable offer on 1, 2, or all 3.

Question Seacraft ENC3 - anybody REALLY use one?

I just got a Seacraft ENC3. I have read the user manual and looked for instructional videos (and found none). The user manual explains how to record a route. It explains how to import a route from the ENC3 to their Windows software, and how to edit it (to a degree). It also says you can...

Question Genesis DPV, storage/discharge and the charge connector cap

I have let my Genesis 2.2 sit for almost a week now with the charge connector cap installed. It was at 91% charge and my intent has been to drop it down to 80% or less and then just let it sit until the next time I use it. After almost a week, with the charge cap on, it is at 90%. I figured I...

Closed Genesis 2.2 - 20 minutes from new

I just bought this Genesis 2.2. It came to me new in the box after sitting in a warehouse, forgotten for 3 years. I put a complete new set of betteries in it yesterday, charged it up (74.8V, 26.00 Ah, when the charger finished, according to the BMS app on my iPhone), and took it diving in the...

Question Genesis DPV - rig for nose clipping/towing?

How does one best rig a Genesis so that you can clip the nose to something? Like, maybe for towing it? I've used my BlackTip and a Magnus. Those both have some kind of hard handle on the nose, so a short, braided, paracord leash with a bolt snap easily attaches and then can be used for such...

Question Genesis DPV assembly - locking strips?

I just assembled my brand new Genesis 2.2. It came with 4 orange locking strips for locking the tail to the body. The manual just says to press the tail on and then insert the locking strips. It doesn't say how many to use or if direction you insert them is important. Am I supposed to insert...

Question Genesis 3.1 vs Cuda X Tech - efficiency and range?

I was comparing specs on scooters. The Genesis 3.1 and Cuda X Tech are basically the same length (24") and weight (34#). The Genesis has 850 W-Hr of battery. The Cuda X Tech (with the biggest batteries, which are 12 A-h) has 432 W-Hr of battery. So, the Genesis has practically double the...

Question Genesis 2.2 - what to do with it?

I picked up a new in the box Genesis 2.2 yesterday. Well, a buddy that is local to where the scooter is picked it up for me. I've only seen pictures, so far. It might be as much as a month until I meet him to actually have it in hand. It sat forgotten in a warehouse for 3 years, so it's new...

XS Scuba Clear-Path buckle on sale (and mini review)

I see from my oldest post that I have been using XS Scuba Clear-Path buckles on the waist belt of my BCDs and weight belt since at least August 2016. https://www.xsscuba.com/weight-accessories/clearpath-buckle I recently needed another one, so I went shopping and found them on sale for $9.95...

Question Replacement O2 sensor for Divesoft Trimix analyzer?

It looks like the sensor in my Divesoft analyzer has gone current-limited and won't even calibrate to O2 at 1ATA anymore. Is it possible to use a cell that came out of my rEvo as a substitute in the Divesoft analyzer? I have several that aged out of my rEvo but will still read well above 1.0.
