A question for Greeks or those who know Greek Law

I will be travelling this summer around the med on a friend's boat (nice 90ft sailboat, w compressor and such). I intend to do some simple dives just off the back of the boat (yes, qualified and certified for this) I had heard (years ago) that diving in Greece was illegal... really? But...

    La Paz, Mexico Trip Report

Water temp varied a lot, depending on the site and day Expect 27-29 degrees (C) at the shallower spots like Los Islotes and la Reina (3mm would be OK, but 5mm better), and down to 21 degrees at the deeper spots and early morning (I had a nice hooded vest and wore it all the time... and was...

Advise Needed: Lighting of weary subjects

Am putting together 2 upcoming trips with the expressed desire to shoot video of Mola-Mola (in Bali) and Thresher sharks (in Malapascua). The issue I'm having is that both subjects are reputed to be very weary, and not to fond of lights:) Can anyone confirm or deny this? Personal experiences...

    Benefits with rebreathers

As someone who is rebreather certified (although SCR not CCR) and an avid videographer, I would say that there are definitely benefits. I also agree with Curt's assesment that its about having the right tool for the job. With respect to task-loading, I tell myself before getting in the water...

Photos from underwater world, Sentosa, Singapore

At the risk of being:flame: , I too will strongly suggest people to go out to UnderWater World and spend an hour in the tank. Why? 1) Cause its really fun :monkeydan 2) Cause UnderWater World is short on $$$, and after talking with some of the people who work there, I've been told that...

    Shark attacks down worldwide

GAINESVILLE, Florida (AP) -- Shark attacks were down worldwide last year, continuing a five-year trend due in part to humans being more savvy about how to avoid being bitten, a monitoring program reported Monday. There were 58 total attacks in 2005, compared with 65 in 2004, while the number...

    Singpore Diving - Sat. Feb 18th, 19th, 20th

Hey, don't knock it unless you've tried it! Diving in Underwater World, although a bit pricey, is a BLAST!!! Gracie the resident Dugong is a bit pushy (ie greedy for the sea-grass you have), but a warm and lovable creature:) Feeding the eagle rays is also fun, and "Fido" the leopard shark...
