    Is Solo Pool Practice OK?

Only reason a breather should be in the pool is adjusting the harness. I'm about to jump in today to set up my brand new lp85s before I take them for some real diving!

    Is Solo Pool Practice OK?

let's put it like this. I'm at 600 something dives, fairly experienced. (Waiting for a a buddy to catch up to finish full cave) and I went out last weekend. My trim was garbage. You'll get it spot on and change 1 little thing and it takes a month to get it back to perfect. Don't be upset with...

    Tipping the DM

I just paid $300 usd for 3 dives. Dm was very friendly and helped me get my bailout cylinder on and off for each dive I, personally, tipped $40. Receiving $40 a head with a 20 person charter makes a good weekend

    Is Solo Pool Practice OK?

You can't narc out in 9 ft, if you C.E.S.A to the surface you most likely won't embolize. If you're on the verge of a heart attack, don't dive. If my buds 9 year old son can play with tanks in a pool and be fine, I'm sure you'll be fine

    Is Solo Pool Practice OK?

You'll be fine. Go play in the dumb pool, if you end up dying in a pool with gear on... natural selection is all I'm saying. Go have some fun

looking for more air and still keeping good trim/bouyancy

Lp85's. A 3500 fill will get you 126 cuft of gas which is incredible. Don't worry too much about over filling, just make sure the burst disc is like a 4500 lb or so

Another Newbie 'What About This Gear?' Post

Spare Air- good for diving or not?

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! You could just watch your gas and never put yourself in that kind of situation. Follow the rule of 1/3's and you should never have a problem. 1/3 in 1/3 out 1/3 reserve for emergency. Plan your dive and dive your plan!

    Nitrox tank labeling

1.4 for bottom mix and 1.6 for deco. I don't know about you guys but, personally, there's no reason for me to push o2 toxicity. You guys talking about 1.7 ~ 2.0 are asking to be put into graves. That's OC, on breather it's different. 1.6 for my hollis explorer and 1.1 with my prism2

Silicone dry suit seals -- how to prep for easing donning

Food grade silicone is healthy for the seals on your suit, that's what I've always used. It slides right on if you coat it with silicone.
