What makes you think I didn't watch the video? I watched every second of it, and actually replayed a good portion of it twice (and never once did I say it was clickbait motivated; who in their right mind would think that given the circumstances). I heard them talk over and over about getting the...
I was just about to hit post on my submission for this and saw you beat me to it..
This was a total failure on DAN's part, and I am guessing one of the only reasons they eventually got reimbursement for the flight was due to them being semi internet famous in the dive community.
Right on...
Oh, it's 100% coming; it's on DEMA's website. Sound's like you'll be able to send pre-defined text messages to other divers (something I've been waiting for). So much better than yelling through regulator.
FYI: I tried the o-rings that @MaxBottomtime recommended and unfortunately they don't work for me. I don't have the hand strength to mount them on the system like he does and they just aren't as strong of a fit as the factory supplied ones that actually work better with my jig system I've...
Out of curiosity, I checked around and that tool posted earlier is meant for dive shops / retailers that apparently install the gloves on their customers behalf... It's about $425 USD!!!
OMG this is amazing!!! Makes my crappy little PVC tool look like child's play. Over engineered, check! Amazing, check! Will I buy this, maybe...
For a much lower tech (cheaper) option:
That's where I found it... I was digging around for a shop that sold the Ultima system + the push / pull adapter (Ultima system de gants étanches) which has been mentioned on this forum before (different thread). And once I was down that bunny trail I found what appears to be a newer system...
It looks like waterproof has a new "twist" adapter for the Ultima system. I randomly stumbled upon it while trying to find a better price overseas for the Ultima system (and the push pull adapter that came out a while back). This looks promising, I have an email into waterproof to try and get...
That's interesting... Christa's pair has been getting harder and harder to remove over the years, so this must be the problem as I've added silicone as well and it makes it slightly better for a dive or two. We've never had to resort to screwdrivers but I have had to use all my leverage and pull...
That last nudibranch picture is to die for. Sorry the trip wasn't ideal, but glad you made it there and back safe and sound. We enjoyed having the trail maps on our Decent MKII's to help lead us back from our hike, it's super easy to get lost/turned around on the island!
It's just a couple of screws that use an allen key (which you probably already bring), the only thing that is annoying is you have to do a lot of quarter turns on a very long screw (only takes a few minutes)...
I can tell you that it does not work with my setup above, but I just removed the handle prior to traveling and placed inside the travel tube, and then when I arrived I re-attached. It's a bit of a pain (especially because it tedious to attach). But it wasn't that big of a deal.
THIS IS WRONG! I really think people should stop trying to summarize official information on this forum, because this is the second time mis-information has been posted. I know it's not intentional, but it's not good for people to read these non-official posts and have wrong info provided...
That info is also published here:

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS WRONG ADVICE.
That first link only applies to the Netherlands (NOT Bonaire).
The second link was a "hope" that came and went.
*The only TRUE source of info is from here:

*But even this had the wrong info on...
Keep in mind, the airlines didn't cancel on you due to some sort of gross negligence, they were required to stop operating due to govt. mandates from a pandemic.
