Dutch Springs - first time drysuit diver undergarment question

Hopefully I won't have any leaks on Sunday and can get by with my sweatpants and sweatshirts. I'm going to immediately invest in undergarments post-cert dives so I can put my recent training and knowledge to use and not "forget". I hear you can get same quality undergarments (and other gear)...

Dutch Springs - first time drysuit diver undergarment question

So I have a DUI CF200x drysuit, haven't purchased the undergarment yet. I'm doing 2 dives this coming Sunday and would like to know the equivalent in street clothes needed for the thickness undergarment you would typically use at Dutch this time of year. I am wearing Under Armour top and...

New to drysuit diving, question for Dutch

So since I'm new to dry suit diving, I was told to buy undergarments that wick away water, and to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt over it. I was told this will be enough for Dutch this time of year. Eventually I will buy real dry suit undergarments, I don't think I necessarily need to buy...

Thanks Jim, appreciate the advise. They're pretty cheap on LeisurePro, going to add to cart and pay for both 3 and 5mm

New to drysuit diving, question for Dutch

I'm working on my drysuit cert and will be going to DS in 2 weeks. I purchased a DUI CF200x, picking up some light undergarments, have 3mm gloves and was advised to buy a 3mm Neosport X-Span hood. Is 3mm enough for this time of year? I am pretty good with cold water but wondering about that 1st...

    Diving in Lima Peru

KS will do - I was born in Peru but grew up in the US my entire life. I have family there so bringing mine to visit again, this will be my first year diving in Peru. I am hoping the shore dives will be similar to Blue Heron Bridge in Florida, which judging by the videos that's what it seems like.

    Diving in Lima Peru

Thanks Ripman.....thinking carefully about this and reviewing the dive ops pictures and videos, I am not going to do the boat dives. The typical Peruvian man is approx 5'5-5'7 and 165 to 175 lbs. I am going to be way too uncomfortable maneuvering around this small boat, and the last thing I want...
