I finally replaced my screen protector after arguably too long a time with the original and some marks. I followed the above and used the windex equivalent where we are. Worked perfectly, no issues.
Cleaned the area. Sprayed some windex, placed it where I wanted it. (I didn't spray too much...
Yeah valid point on the sitting down if the pockets are behind, as then you will be sitting on your stuff. I feel like there is no optimum solution here
This is my preference also. I am always swopping between steels and ali's depending on plans. (I have my own steels and rent ali's when there is no time to fill, especially Nitrox)
So if I dive only steels then I will put them on the drop D's usually. If I dive Ali's I usually start on the D...
I have been hunting for some tech shorts with pockets in front or behind for SM. I have kind of made piece with the fact that I must just get some made.
Also always wondered if in front or behind would be better. With just your 2 cylinders in front would be good and still reachable. But slap on...
Agree on the residue. One of my pet peeves! I also always ensure I find the 'good' duct tape that is not sticky. The bad ones can even leave residue after one day.
As others have said if I am using a slate, I will use duct tape and a fine permanent marker, usually on a 'multi-page' wrist slate...
We flew PAL recently (July) and they were really good. No issues. Pre pay the extra baggage in advance as some have said and it was quite affordable. They were very strict at check in with any extra weight.
On time and even early I would say.
Yeah not sure of you saw the bit about UL. Maybe they are more prevalent where you are, but where we are they are not. And definitely no as popular due to the ever common pitting issue.
100% I hear you and do see what you are saying. I guess there is something to be said about going deeper than lets say 60m-70m or so, and being on sidemount and that is when it would make more sense to use the two places on your back for twins rather. I just enjoy diving sidemount too much to...
Yeah I know a few people who also do it this way, always on one side. Do you dive backmount only? Do you do the same for sidemount? Backmount I can understand but sidemount is quite comfy having 2 each side (as in 1 deco on each side + sidegas as I like to call it :p) and it wouldn't make sense...
I have not used 3 deco gases before, so can't really comment with proper knowledge. But I would assume the same switch process from 2-3. Only thing I can think of is that I would be storing 1 tank on my tail in between. So without having thought of this before, allow me to try think of it below...
Interesting topic and I was always interested to see what others did in this case.
The way I was taught and also what makes sense to me is you go from deco to deco and only to BG for air breaks.
How I do this, is while on Deco 1 I run through Notox up until the Examine part tracing the route...
I still wanted to circle back to the group here.
Subsurface google group had a lengthy discussion about it and some tangents :P I still need to read through all there.
But one person did come with a solution which is that if you just look in the dive list you will find a SAC column which I...
