Curacao is good but if you've been to Bonaire it is probably about the same.

Greece is surprisingly good for snorkeling. I have seen more sea turtles there than anywhere else. If you go off of rocky areas and not beaches it seems like the best.

I can't help with the diving but Ambon has to be easier to get to than Alor. You can fly direct there from Manado on Sriwijaya air for about $70. I am also planning this same trip for November. I think I will stick to Manado area and if can get there, banda. If not I'll stay around Ambon.
