For sale is a TUSA 2 gauge Imperial console. Used mostly in freshwater, rinsed after every saltwater dive.
maybe 50 dives on it. A few scuffs on faces (pictured). They aren't noticeable in underwater use, but i tried to take photos to highlight the defects. Could probably be buffed with...
Interesting. Is the light submerged during this testing? I wonder if there is any sort of thermal throttle - either way I'd expect more than 8 seconds. Mine definitely doesn't have this, but maybe it was updated?
Or you got a bad unit.
What survey did you use? What was the tally? Did you consider that people tend to post about something when there is an issue, and maybe more suits of one brand are sold?
Your comments seem very anecdotal in nature.
I've got a seaskin, and it has been very dry to date. Nicer than the viking and USIA I had before that cost much more.
Also, ignore the servicing b.s. inflator and dump valves are near universal. Either you have someone who can repair any suit locally, or you'll be shipping it off. Sort of a...
I can tell with your long history and intimate knowledge of the topic you have formed your opinion, but other companies sell regs based on the same models for much less. They lost their competitive advantage, and the tech communities are more hesitant to buy as a result.
Raising prices so that...
Yeah i saw a comment earlier in the thread to this effect, but lots of folks dove them because they sold part kits and were very inexpensive. then prices doubled overnight. My brother and I have a couple first stages and second stages, but i'd never buy them again as they aren't the same value...
Looks like it's the standard fiber optic cable. Those can run $50 plus.
A couple of these plus some TOSlink fiber optic will get you it for much less.
Howshot Fiber Adapter L for Sea&Sea YS strobes
Thanks for the review! I see that version for like $38 on AliExpress (14 led) and a 27 led version for a few bucks more. Will probably order a couple and give em some use in the caves/reefs.
Sure, I can appreciate that but I am just looking for a cheap rig to match the $99 GoPro 2018 I just flashed to the Hero 5. That light is 10x the price of the one originally discussed.
I'm mainly a photo guy and have a few strobes, housings, etc.
So glad to see all the traction this light has had! Mine is still running strong, and my brother flooded his a few months ago. Most likely his fault, but still for the use we've gotten out of them they are a phenomenal value. He'll be getting another.
