SeaLife SL970 24mm wide angle lens with dual sided soft cover and safety clip for attaching to camera.
Very good condition - I have only used it on two dives. Looked almost brand new when I purchased it from the original owner.
$50 OBO including shipping to continental US.
They have them in the rooms but shut off the power at night as well, is my understanding - same as Nomads. That's why as I said I am a little hesitant, and considering Bastianos as a backup (just need to see if I can swing the extra $$$ once all the other pieces of the trip come together).
Have seen them before but totally forgot - thanks for refreshing my memory! Definitely looks beautiful as well. Did you find that it was very hot at night...? Sleeping without even a fan is my only hesitation.
Late to the party but thanks for the helpful info - just booked my ticket to Manado for Feb. I'll be making a return visit to Lembeh and am planning to check out Bangka for the first time. I'm looking at Blue Bay - I had initially talked to them in 2020 but that plan went sideways. It's on...
Great pygmy seahorse shot - those little buggers are not easy to snap!!! Sounds like a great trip. I'm headed back to Lembeh for the 2nd time in February and hoping to add on a visit to Bangka this time around. I've heard good things.
You make an excellent point - I hadn't even thought of that part. If you didn't dive Saba, then you absolutely should not be paying a marine park fee, OP. That money is paid to the marine park office weekly based on the headcount on board.
Switching back & forth multiple times is a definite no-go for several reasons, safety as well as logistics-wise, but there is no reason why one can't switch from air TO nitrox.
Honestly, I preferred St. Kitts diving even over Saba. Saba sites are prettier and there is a better chance of seeing reef sharks, but St. Kitts has some great macro life and some very interesting sites - it helps immensely if you have someone experienced. If you were just thrown in at St...
Official company policy is that all tips get split - you are supposed to turn it in. Sometimes the Capt let people keep individual tips - they actually didn't happen all that often when I was there.
Also re tipping, OP stated an expected $400 per person which is not really accurate. First...
Several, actually. Bob, who is now mostly on Turks boat; Ian, who has been threatening to retire for about a decade; and Michael, who lasted less than 3 months, I believe. We may have nicknamed him Cpt Ron...the rotating cast certainly kept it interesting lol.
I have heard loads of stories...
I also find it odd that they didn't even attempt to dive SXM if it was calm there...in my experience, the diving is not the best, but as you say it's better than sitting on the boat.
@Jayfarmlaw was there a purser on board? I would highly recommend bringing your concerns to the person in that...
Lionfish are absolutely not native to Saba - the DMs are not permitted to kill them due to Saba marine park regulations. The park staff sometimes go out and attempt to cull the lionfish population (or at least they did a few years back). The local reef sharks will eat lionfish once they have...

Neither are labeled but both are presumed to be 7mm thickness...
Good info to have - especially interesting as someone who has worked for one of their competitors. Appreciate the detailed trip report - I am heading over in October for my first Red Sea trip and had looked at the specials they have been running on RSAII & III. I opted for a different boat...
