    CCR Diving in August

Hi all, I'm visiting from the UK in August for 2 weeks as a friend of mine is getting married in Oahu. I'm considering bringing my rebreather and getting in some hours. I've been doing some research online and there's not a huge amount of recent information about CCR diving on the islands. I...

Trip Report Indepth Watersports - 2 weeks of CCR diving

I spent 2 weeks of CCR diving with Indepth Watersports. I got referred to them from Dive Tech. They have a great set-up where my bench was around 2m from the boat. It's the closest to diving on a liveboard for boat diving that I've done. It made it so simple to get my stuff on-to and off the...

Mini Report: A few days of Rebreather diving in Malapascua with Evolution

A few months ago I started a thread about wanting to do a CCR skills brush-up in the Philippines. Matt from Evolution diving suggested I join them and even see some sharks.Fast forward a few months and I actually did. Luggage Drama Things didn't start off well as part of my dive gear got stuck...

    CCR Skills brush-up in Philippines

Just following up on this as I think it’s always useful to have info online for other people searching : 1) Spending my first week with Evolution in Malapascua. Very quick and detailed responses from Matt on this . 2) Originally looked at Coron. Gunter got back to me. For now he doesn’t offer...

    CCR Skills brush-up in Philippines

Thanks Matt and Centrals for the responses. Coron is very much on my list for wrecks. I had never thought about sharks. The does sound like a very interesting option to spice things up a bit. Just looked at your site there and it looks like a professional outfit, well done. I'm not so much...

    CCR Skills brush-up in Philippines

Hi all, I'm going to be diving with my X-CCR in the Philippines for 2 weeks at the start of May. I'm a MOD1 with about 60 hours done since training in the last 2.5 years. Unfortunately, last year I only got a bit of diving done and then injured my foot so stopped. At some stage next year I'd...

    Dive Systems Malta contact information

I did my MOD1 there in August 2019 followed by a week of fun dives with the rebreather. I did a week of diving then with them last year in August. Professional outfit and also had a good laugh with them. Will do my MOD2 there at some stage too.

    Malta

Malta had something for everybody. There's easy dives and very advanced dives. If you manage to take an advanced course that will open up options. You could also look to do that there. I've been there 5 times already and every time I've tried new dives so you will have lots of options. As...

    CCR diving in Phuket

Thank you. Funnily enough I pretty much have no symptoms. Only for having to do that test, I'd be going around blissfully unaware. Was very much looking forward to it but there's use crying over spilled milk. I'll get my fix of diving on YouTube.

    CCR diving in Phuket

In the end I didn't make it to Thailand. I did my pre-departure PCR test and it came back positive  I had to cancel the trip. Blue Label Diving have given me a refund (big shout out to them for that ) and I can re-book on the MV Giamani anytime in the next 2 years. Will have to shuffle a...

    Any worthwhile diving in Croatia?

I really enjoyed diving with the B24 Diving Centre. They have a boat just a few metres from the diving shop and they were very flexible about how you dive based on your abilities and confidence.

    CCR diving in Phuket

Yeah I heard back that sometimes they could do that with the right planning . That would be ideal for me as it's just easier to get in and out of the water once in a drysuit rather than twice :D

    CCR diving in Phuket

Thanks Merlyne. They are the site that comes up when I search that looks quite modern. Their FB page is a bit quiet but that's probably because there's not a huge amount going on at the moment.

    CCR diving in Phuket

Hi Wibble, That is quite tempting to be honest and something I've been considering. I'm hoping my new suit (Santi) arrives in time for Thailand as I'm disliking the fit of my O'Three even after some changes. I'm hoping that will improve my confidence with it.
