I just try and not be the reason my buddy /group needs to start ascent. Keep good trim, efficient use of energy, gear squared away, good use of gas, right thermal protection, etc... So I guess I am competing with my buddy / group to outlast them.

Do you have a max depth you don't want exceed? Generally Jupiter is a little deeper than West Palm. West Palm is just a few exits further with lots of 45-60 foot reefs. Jupiter is probably 80-95 or so.

I was under the west bridge about 10 minutes before the medics arrived and the current was ripping. I was almost in front of life guard tower when help arrived and i didnt see the victim at all. Viz was pretty good water was about 80 but current was strong at that time.
