Diving Quarrys in Ohio. What Wetsuit?

7mm would be adequate for shorter dives in early summer and pretty comfortable in the late summer / fall.

    WInterizing Regulators with Silicone Oil?

I have only done it with Poseidons. Dark eyes vodka in the plastic bottle was always my choice. Nothing but the finest.

Unknown Taiwanese woman drops camera, goes missing - Palau

Have you tried float arms? I switched out my webbed arms to floats and it is so much nicer to use a perfectly neutral rig.

Question Why can I find only one very large (30l) air tank?

Considering most gas suppliers don't have a compressor. They typically get filled by a dive shop. I fill breathing air bottles for my local gas supplier regularly. I would fill them for anybody, a tank is a tank. Depending on where you are in the US, I sell bank bottles and have a building full...

    Faber Volume ID

If you could take a picture of the whole tank beside something of a common size, I could id it for you. They are most likely DOT HP100s. Same size as a normal hp100, but non exemption and about 6 pounds heavier. Kind of like the old DOT HP96s. Wonderful as single tanks, horrible when doubled.

    A tank for non-breating air?

72s were scuba specific. Wouldn't have ever had a bushing. I do still have a few of the old fire bottle scuba conversion tanks around.

    A tank for non-breating air?

He did say steel 72 so that rules bad alloy out. My guess is, "old tank, he should buy a new one"

    How to clean HDG tanks

Acetone on a rag will normally remove paint pen and sharpie from the tanks. I have paint stencils with my name, but I don't use it on tanks as they seem to turn over too often.

    Shearwater Transmitter Hitting Tank

I angle mine so they just touch the tank. I like when they actually touch, keeps hoses and lines from getting snagged behind them.

    A tank for non-breating air?

Yes, sadly. That is more the norm than the exception. I keep all of my hydro and inspection paperwork for 7 years. I don't hand it over to the customer, but if they want to see it or take a copy, they are welcome to it.

    A tank for non-breating air?

Dive shops regularly fail tanks for non issues. The hydro visual is looking for defects that matter. Dive shops are looking for any defect at all.

That regulators are depth compensated and you are above 200psi in that hose at only 60M.

Yes, I have different setups for different uses.

Help with white Faber cylinder size

It is 77cf at 3000psi. The volume is listed at the fill pressure, not the tank pressure.

    Bauer K15 compressor questions

no, I was talking about the oil pump. The drive belts should be standard B servies vbelts. My K14 is chain drive, my 1973 K15 which appears nearly identical to yours has a v belt running the pump. What is a cog belt? That isn't a term I am familiar with unless you mean like a timing belt.

Mine just runs a standard AX series belt. Is yours something unique?

    Dive operator age limits?

They get scanned, emailed to a gmail account that I only use to store waivers and releases and they are kept for 7 years. Google is more secure and more apt to have good backups than I do. What you do with it after I scan it is up to you.

    Dive operator age limits?

You can insist if you want. It won't make it happen. You would just be insisting from the dock. If they have a captain's license or an ABS certification, they have underwent a MUCH more strenuous physical that you did for diving. It is very similar to a pilot medical.
