Thanks for the input everyone. We are still pursuing FL at this time but you've given me food for thought.

A friend of mine finished her coursework and wants to travel to do her checkout dives. She lives near Montrose, CO and is looking for suggestions of dive locations that aren't going to be too much travel time or expense. We are pricing and timing out FL Keys but thought I'd ask for other ideas...

I'm thinking maybe the end of July. 30th or 31st. Either of those work for you? Have the temps warmed up since June?

Hi guys! Happy to see this thread, I'm hoping to get some more RI dives in this summer as I've got zero dive vacations planned. What are the water temps like?

I routinely take Bonine the evening before a dive and then about 30 minutes prior to getting on the boat. I tried ginger pills before that but they didn't help.

Any idea what the cost is on that? I hate "hiding" my key.

I'm short and round (5'1" and 195 lbs), I thought I'd need a custom but I found that a women's Henderson Aqualock fit perfect. I have both a 5mm and a 3mm in 12short. (FYI-size 12 is def not what I wear in landlubber clothing). First, Find a Henderson dealer and see if there's sizes to try on...

I was thinking about this just the other day. It's too bad cause that's a nice lake dive. Only got to do it once last summer.

I flew Hawaiian NY to HON in Sept and checked all my gear except for reg, mask, computer and GoPro. I didn't declare my checked bag as scuba gear and I didn't have any issues either leg of the trip.
