Diving Quarrys in Ohio. What Wetsuit?

They’re not terrible, they’re wood stairs down to A deck which have ramps out to the floating docks, From there you can giant stride, or walk in onto a platform to put your flippers and goggles on. Gilboa is really making some nice improvements.

Snorkeling 1st time off of a boat

Swim upstream or into the current, that way you can drift back, if your charter isn’t doing a roll call of some sort, find a different charter, many charters put a throw line with a floaty out that you can grab onto.

    Drysuit Recommendations

I should add for clarification, my PS dive team purchased my drysuit and they have paid for all repairs, however, I do practice/ refine my skills in my PS drysuit because 1) it’s the only drysuit I currently have. 2) I don’t live under the motto of “I only dive when I get paid to dive” as some...

    Drysuit Recommendations

Haven’t seen any recommendations on the fourth element argonaut, that’ll probably be my next suit. Currently using a Hollis Btr 500, just had zipper replaced (second time) cost $650.00 to have DUI do it, was warrantied the first time. It’s got a bad inflation valve now, (broken tounge) Probably...

Mini scuba diving: filling the tank

Never seen a “mini diver” Most divers travel with a first/ second stage, some sort of alertnate, an spg and a timing device or computer and a BC/ mask snorkel fins. Since you probably only have a mask and fins, you’ll need to rent the rest of the gear. Do the “try scuba” course, they’re often...

Mini scuba diving: filling the tank

The dive boats I’ve been on don’t have compressors on board. Also, if I was a DM or ran a boat, I probably wouldn’t let you bring that little doo hickey on a charter. I would try get you into a try scuba course and eventually an OW course.

Info Live save / rescue after forty minutes underwater

Another reason why it’s imperative to have proper ice diving training for a dive team, the lack of ice should never be substituted with boards or plywood, why DRI allows this is beyond me.
