If you use it too much it will have the opposite effect and actually cause rebound swelling. That’s why there’s a warning not to take it more than 3 days on the box. You can do 800mg ibuprofen or 975-1000 mg Tylenol to keep your sinus inflammation at bay on days you dive.

Try some Afrin nasal spray before your dives. That should have a similar effect!

There are a lot of changes in physiology that happen when we dive. If you feel panic or anxiety try going up a few feet at a time slowly until it subsides and then continue.

The guys working in the boats get tips and housing while they get their dives in. Just a suggestion, but I understand your situation.

Try contacting Rainbow Reef dive operator in Key Largo, FL. They usually have a handful of people they help with housing and they work on getting dives towards their DM and sometimes boat rides towards becoming a boat captain. See you if can contact the owner there and what they can offer you...

Take a thermometer with you next time and check your temp when you get out of the water. Try a hot tub or hot shower after diving so your body doesn’t have to work so hard to get back to normal temp.
