I am selling an OTS Spectrum FFM with full regulator package for $600. The Spectrum is blue with coated lenses. I have added an ABV to the Spectrum. The OTS Spectrum is paired with an Aqua Lung Legend LX Twilight regulator. I find the colors of the regulator, mask and coated lenses to look...
I am selling a Black OTS Guardian Full Face Mask with the Buddy Phone D2 . This package is $1,689 new. Details can be found on the OTS website. I have priced it a $700 for a quick sell.
The entire package is in excellent condition. The unit is not getting used as much as anticipated. The...
This is a clip of a chart previously posted that only shows the difference between the HUD and G2 Tek NDLs using the identical GF algorithm settings. The original chart showed the G2 with MB and included Shearwater and Garmin using the same GF settings as the Scubapro.
You say "not a huge...
G3 with GF should be just like G2 Tek. If you switch to ZH-L16 ADT MB PMG the HUD has MB Level 0 to 5 and the G3 has MB Level 0 to 9 so hard to make a match there. Maybe a GF High 5 more than the HUD will get you close.
The big difference is that the HUD does not use Altitude Classes. So at...
It is tentatively sold. I have somebody local who will look it over on Saturday and make the purchase if they like what they see. Local pickup is my preference as there is a hazmat fee associated with shipping large lithium batteries.
Dropping the price to $700. It is sad to watch it just sitting unused next to the Genesis 3.1 that replaced it.
I used this in February and it still ran like a charm. Powerful little DPV for it's size.
The statement that the decompression algorithm takes the measured barometric pressure and then assigns an altitude class is in the manual. The information that the upper end of that altitude class is used was made during a call with Brad Lally, Senior Director of Quality and Compliance where we...
I have a new, never wet, still in the bag, Red Nomad Ray Sidemount System. I purchased this red Nomad Ray from Scubadelphia on November 22, 2023. I will provide the original purchase receipt. I then won a black Nomad Ray that was donated by Dive Rite at the NSS-CDS Winter workshop raffle in...
To be honest, the video call I had with Scubapro was not arranged by them to justify anything on their part, but it was to explain why I was seeing differences between Shearwater, Garmin, G2 Tek and the Scubapro HUD.
I did appreciate their willingness to engage with me and explain things.
I have learned a little bit more about the G2 Tek algorithm. I am sure it changes no opinions on who will or will not use it, but I do like to understand how the computer algorithm works and share that information.
Deco schedule does not match Shearwater or Scubapro HUD
While the G2 Tek is...
There just is not a large market for steel cylinders. So places like Aquaventure Whitetip Dive Supply and Ocean Dive Supply don't carry them. You can get an AL100 easy enough.
As mentioned, Balikbayan box is an option. You can see if Dive Gear Express can ship...they do a lot of...
I have a Yellow XDEEP Stealth 2.0 TEC Sidemount BCD with extras. The harness webbing has never been cut...all original length webbing. The default XDEEP 16-inch power inflator assembly is installed on harness. Harness is equipped with SUMP UK Hardware (bungee retainers, wing retainer bungee...
I don't see 1.10 after setting gas to 100% at the surface. Mk2i is showing 1.01. I am not at sea level. The altimeter is showing 936 feet. Actual altitude of 918 feet.
If you set your GF at 70 and miss a deco stop, you already said “missing the deco stop means you're bent as far as the algorithm is concerned”. So the computer adjusting GF to 85…not mid-dive, but after your missed GF 70 deco stop means you are not bent as far as the algorithm is concerned. It...
I do not have actual experience or knowledge of one. But I believe there were some posts in 2019 specific to this subject were it was said it was possible that the TDC-3 could be affected based on some answers from Ross Hemingway about the GF Low needing to be shifted towards GF Hi on NDL dives.
I checked that and I do not see any option to change the last stop depth and I know during my in-water testing the computer showed a 10 foot stop requirement.
The variable ascent rates could be a factor. The Scubapro HUD also uses variable ascent rates (see below), but they specifically state...
That is my expectation and what I would consider correct operation. But I have seen posts in the past that there are some computer implementations that use GF Low values in the NDL calculation.
Here are some NDL times from the G2 (ZH-L16 ADT MB PMG) at various MB levels compared to the NDL times of computers that implement ZH-L16C + GF. The G2 Tek wont go below a GF High of 50, so that is the bottom limit I used for the computers.
