Hi all, It looks like I will be able to make it too. It will be nice to see lots of you i haven't seen in a while. Hope all clears out and for great water.
Had ?
Is there going to be a gas wagon there for fills or would we have to make that trip back for fills?
I like to use steel 72(100%) or an al 80(80%) for Deco if useing a single gas. I have plenty of them and didn't have to buy any more tanks. The 40's are easier to carry, but it didn't take much extra time in the water to get use to the 80's. The best thing about them is you can go just about a...
There is some diving here, but you have to know the right people. Everything is a way's offshore and with the cost of fuel it has hurt a lot of people. Most of the divers here spear fish. Well at least till they shut it down. I've been hearing that its in the works. Don't spearfish so not to up...
Dang Snep. We miss one event and you take our spot. LOL. We'll spit it with you if you have room. We should be there for VortoberFest as long as nothing else comes up. Sorry we missed you guy's/gal's at SpringFest. I had my Adv.X/Deco class about the same time. It made it hard to get back here...
Yea, NOAA is diving alot lately. We did last Fri. (3 dives) and this Tue. (4 dives). I tell you that drysuit is worth its wait in gold. We went down to Gray's Reef on Tuesday to find and replace some sensor's for tracking fish. We got lucky and found/replaced both of them. The sea's were SUPER...
Sounds good Andy. Getting a lil colder. I did a couple dive's offshore here Fri. and the water is a lil warmer. One computer said 52* while my other said 49* not sure which one is right but it was good day anyway. The only problem is the hands want stay warm. We're going back out tomarrow...
They pay for themself. Mine payed for itself the first weekend I bought it. Going from park to park over the weekend 2 parks a day. Just depends how much you want to see.
I need to make it back up there later in the month hopfully it will be at its coldest so I can test my thermals. I was Toasty warm that day in the river at 50*. So I think it will be good down to the low 40's. It worth a try.
It want be that bad. You can alway's go the sidemount way. You aready have the TransPac. All you need is the butt plate and wing. That way you can still use your 95's. Just hump 1 at a time down to the water. That's what I plan on doing 1 day.
Whats wrong with dub 95's Denise? I tote mine all over the place. You should see the hill up at ClarkHill lake. :shakehead: I'll try to get some pics next time I'm up there. You can carry those tanks to girl. :D It's just what you get use to. You would like the 85's better though. Just think of...
You can stop the tacoing of the rec wing. DR make's some clips( for the newer Rec wings) to go on the bottom just like the Nomad and there free. For the older Rec wings like mine. You can use some 1/4 in bungie and make some loops through the bottom part of the wing and then run your waist strap...
Denise you should try to come with them if you can. You would love Peacock. Its has some great place's to dive. P1 ( peanut - pothole) or Orange grove.
