Back in the 80s I used to put my dive light in my pocket and spend alot of the dive in the dark. I was anywhere between 20-60 ft deep. It was completly different than diving with my light on. The visibility was always almost unlimited (and stating the obvious there was no coral reefs there)...

Mustard Dave and Pasley... very good replys, thank you. I'll go get smarter on what a DM course will actually be taught as far as new skils or refining skills that were taught in preresiquite courses. I thought that a Dm course would certinly help you rfine the skills you are suppsoed to know...

BTW the original poster did clarify and has no intention of working in the industry. I have not said ANYTHING about the Zero to Hero approach. My analogy was whats wrong with someone taking as much training as they want (from OW to DM) just for the sake of knowledge and training? My argument...

Yea I saw that too.... but the point is still valid today. I hope those that get a good deal from their local dive shops, honor that deal by doing more business with them (even when there may times that they cant match an online deal). Honor and respect goes both ways... LDS are at the heart...

Pretty depressing and worrysome. being there for 4 months training lving in the west end and traveling to two dive centers for training is much different than what folks are now describing..... go to a resort and sty there just to dive. Is this also a threat on Utilla? IF these two Hondurus...
