Appreciate some input... I'm heading to Grand Cayman... any reason not to dive Dry or do I leave the drysuit home and go 3mm. I don't have issues with the temp and if I did dive dry I'd not need my inner liner just the shell.
Thoughts?
I've also done the Kona Aggressor and had a great time. Dive team was great. I will admit that the landscape was quite different from what I was used to on the Caribbean side but that aside a pleasant change. No lack of thrills with the Mantas and yes Pelagic Magic was a highlight.
Rich;
Belize was outstanding from my point of view. Either the Dancer or the Aggressor. Dancer has more space in the cabin and in my opinion better food and staff. Diving is excellent especially if they choose to bypass the blue hole and to have 2 additional dives.
Cheers...
So... I seem to recall a DAN related thread that implied that if you exceed 20meters and you are OW they may not insurance cover an injury. Any comments/thoughts with respect to how this general topic plays together with regards to DAN coverage (not to derail the OP). In that thread I had to...
Yes sorry didn't mean to imply low cost was on the passenger side but more for them to keep costs low by sardineing folks in on the excursion routes. They've added a few interesting destinations to the mix but I'd take a connection path just to avoid a Rouge aligned flight particularly if there...
I went the essentials path with my son. Mask snorkel fins and wetsuit. After 70ish dives I got him a really nice regulator set because he earned it and I know he will stick with it as a sport going forward. No bc yet want to slow the growth process first.
You were on Rouge definetly BIG difference... Rouge is ACs way to go cheap excursion mode. Watch out as you reserve as not always obvious. AC moving into new markets, most touristy orientated, and using Rouge as the low cost path. Sucks as Vegas is considered a tourist site vs. conference...
We generally spend at least one morning up in this area diving when on the island. Load up the truck and go easy as the road is a bit of an adventure but a better option then going to the north end of the park. Leave that for a 3 tank boat dive day.
having done a number of liveaboards... I've never had a situation where they were not able to accommodate at least a 100cf or larger. Sometimes they charge a little additional to cover their rental or in come gratis provided you make arrangements ahead of time.
Pass on my regards to Megan. She is an excellent host and keeps thing lively. All the staff are great. You will be in good hands. Hopefully Simeon's tongue has healed well.
Going to have the summer to "figure it out" on the east coast. I have to say dealing with Dan from Diver Dan's in Santa Clara was outstanding. Good amount of time spent taking me through the options and ranges. Then getting everything together for final order. Excellent customer service. You...
