i purchased a SOLA 800 almost 2 years ago and it leaked a few weeks ago. Sent them an email and they replaced it at no charge. Great and fast service. The light has seen lots of use. Will continue to buy light and motion products. Discoloration at back of light above charger connection.

My wife and I finished the HSA last month as divemaster/AI. There is classroom, pool, and open water. It is a very humbling experience and we learned a lot. I wish we had taken the class along time ago. Now to find opportunities to use what we learned.

Life is easier with the card. If your skills are pretty good, you should be able to finish the course in no time and you might learn something up in the process.

We did Cozumel and loved it. We also love diving west palm beach FL - very nice drift dives, wrecks, lots of fish, and with right boat then sharks. You can choose boats with guides or boats where they hand you the flag and send you on your way.

If it were the beginning of the dive, I would have done a slow ascent, left water and repaired/replaced the hose. If it was the end of a deeper dive, safety stop, exited, and repaired/replaced the hose.

I do it but not as part of buddy check. I find out if everything works and practice is good. I even orally inflate my BCD underwater. Slow leaky valve on BCD once.
