I've just recently purchased a new Intova IC14 with housing. I want to buy a red filter and see there are many on offer. I have to resort to ebay so before I buy, can someone tell me if I need a specific filter for underwater use i.e glass as apposed to something else? Thanks in advance.

Diving today there was a guy who had a snorkel that lit up both ends. It was brilliant and he was very visible. However I didn't get a chance to ask him where he bought it from. I've searched online but can't find any reference to light up snorkels. Any ideas please as I'd like to buy one myself?
