The bulletin says the vaccine/ test is required for people coming into Honduras, not those flying out.
Sorry, misread the OP. It did say flying out to, not flying out of.
I've taken beta blockers for 35 years. For me they are the best med to control high blood pressure. They do not impact my ability to exercise nor cause any problems for deep recreational diving. So I'm sure the key is getting your body stable on them, which I obviously am.
Most of the dives are deeper, 80 to 100 feet, if I recall correctly. Roca Partida, in particular, can have some currents. Everyone in the group should be able to deploy a DSMB and surface on their own, as a buddy team. I don't think I'd recommend the trip for newly certified divers.
I dive with my wife. I usually use more gas than she does, but we don't share to equalize use and wouldn't plan to do it in the future. If one of us needed to share gas because something unplanned happened then that would be the end of the dive. We would surface, at an acceptable ascent rate...
People have to die somewhere and someone else has to deal with the body. I'm quite happy if you leave mine wherever it is I die, but those still living don't like that idea. Meanwhile I'll keep doing those things I'm physically and mentally capable of. Thanks in advance to whoever has to...
Not exactly what you were asking but if his reaction is bad he should carry two pens. You can get an additional dose or two from a pen, but you have to take it apart....not something most people want to do.
People are people. Some will be upset if something they use and like is no longer available. They'll blame everyone from Scubaboard to the software gods.
If you're going to build it you need to factor in the time and cost for updates.
Haven't been in software development for a number of years, but ongoing maintenance used to be an issue.
Would building the app include a commitment to keep it current, or is that sort of thing no longer a problem?
Coron wrecks are murky, but worth the dives. Beyond just being historic they host a lot of aquatic life in a small area, some of it quite different to other areas.
Kind of depends what interests you.
I can see that at 10m and near the end of a dive it would be quite easy to end up with a buoyancy issue while dealing with something like a free flow. Kudos to your daughter for recognizing the symptoms and seeking treatment.
You've got a lot of stuff there. Probably everything someone needs to survive floating around in the ocean. I think, though, that you might have trouble getting that out with you considering how quickly some of the most recent sinkings have happened
Maybe pare it down to documents, essential...
That's really the key question here. How does one go about "losing" a bottle of deco gas, in an open water dive. I suppose there are scenarios I haven't thought of but they seem remote.
Don't know exactly but we were on our second trip to the Philippines, somewhere around 200 dives and someone commented that my wife and I looked "so comfortable in the water"....so that was probably it.
