Garmin Dive: Edit Apnea dive to Single Gas

Did some free dives on Apnea mode before doing a scuba single gas dive on air. Didn't notice until the dive was underway that my Descent MK2i started up in Apnea mode. Is there a way to edit the apnea dive to make it a Single Gas dive? Seems crazy if not! I've tried using the iOS Garmin Dive...

    poseidon regulator

Hmm, I unfortunately totally forget. Some modern google searching is failing me too. If I had to guess, I found a similar item listed on ebay/scubaboard with the actual date purchased but with a serial number very close to mine. If all else fails, I bet poseidon might tell you if you asked!

Do regulator heatsinks actually increase regulator freezing during ice diving?

I agree, so I started pounding the pavement everywhere - I even got Dan Orr of DAN fame who wrote this blog post about his experiences at Antarctica to respond to me on LinkedIn... (unsure if he has a scubaboard account to credit him with!) For posterity - here's his feedback, and what made me...

Do regulator heatsinks actually increase regulator freezing during ice diving?

thanks for all the comments! Seems like I should potentially end up going with some Sherwood Blizzards as the best bang for the buck. Even then though, there is conflicting information about the Sherwood Blizzard performance (at least, the older generation). Some papers say the Blizzard failed...

Do regulator heatsinks actually increase regulator freezing during ice diving?

I've been primarily diving warm waters so far, but I'm prepping for a trip to try to do Antarctic diving. I have some environmentally sealed regulators but no special second stages, but in the prep material, I'm seeing some interesting information that I don't see anywhere else on the internet...

    OSX Dive Computer Software

Hey I found a few really old (a year or two in software moves fast!) threads, but nothing recent. (forgive me for missing anything) I have some oceanic computers, a Geo 2.0 and an Atom 3.1, that I want to keep syncing on a Mac, and it seems the two big products are DiverLog and MacDive. Does...

    Confined Water in Austin Texas

Hey, I was going to teach a friend how to dive, and I wanted to avoid going thru a shop to make it cheap. Does anyone know anywhere in December with an open pool or pool for rent that allows scuba? Or perhaps, any springs or parks around that "simulate" confined water that only charge...

    staying warm on a budget

after poking around craiglist, I'm seeing entry level dry suits for 800ish ... what kinds of prices and types of drysuits should I be looking at? 800 is still a bit out of my range

    staying warm on a budget

i dive primarily in tropical water, so I have a 3/2mm Full Wetsuit for most of my trips etc. Its also perfect for diving in Texas from April to October. However, I'm starting to get cold when I go dive in 70/60ish water, and I was wondering what would be the most cost efficient way to warm up...

    poseidon regulator

Thanks for all your help so far! I have it listed no one has offered the asking amount, so if i cant sell it for exactly the same amount i paid, i would obviously keep it and maintain it, or if i found that it was more inter-compatible with the stuff i already own which lets me choose and select...

    Poseidon Regulators

Hey, I recently got some Poseidon Regs off craigslist, but decided that they are too much of a hassle for me as an entry level diver. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in them, or if they'll go into my pile of impulse buys First Stage Poseidon Jetstream 3960 and 2920 Second...

    poseidon regulator

hey, i would like some further advice regarding this. i paid $75 dollars for this Poseidon 3960 regulator. was this an acceptable price? I was looking to spend about $100~200 or so after servicing on a nice used regulator.. sadly, i did not due my research and i only found out about the high...

    poseidon regulator

Hey, I recently bought a random Poseidon(edit-> Jetstream 3960) regulator off craigslist that seemed to be in good working condition. It pressures up and the regs seem to breathe easily, but I haven't taken it to any depth outside of the tub...Once I got home to do some research on it, I...
