It was a lot of fun. Did 2 days of diving with ocean explorers. 2 wrecks and 2 reefs. Pretty easy diving. Max depth maybe 60' - 70'. Sharks at every site. Turtles, Rays. Would definitely book with ocean explorers again. Even the captain dove with us.
Just ran across this thread. Will be in Sint Maarten first week of May and staying in Simpson Bay. Was going to go with Ocean Explorers as they are just down the road for 1 or 2 days. Is there an operation on the French side that could go to different dive sites?
Going to Cabo in a couple weeks. Staying at Cabo Azul. Anyone used their in house dive services? Or have any recommendations on off site dive outfits. Thanks for the help
Nice. Im jealous. Have fun! Hopefully you have great weather. No dreads on Breezy this time. The divemaster was Hoppy. Guy from South Africa. Very cool guy.
A little late response but here it goes. It has been a year since my blackbeards liveaboard adventure. I am ready to go back. We saw plenty of wildlife including whales on the first morning. We had amazing weather. The sea was like glass most days. We were able to travel into the national park...
Thanks for your input. I am going to drop the flashlight and multi-tool. I think I will keep the medicine, magazines & headphones as I will be staying extra days and also for traveling. Regarding the wet suit. I am torn. I have a 3 mil shorty and a 5-4-3 Mares Flexa 5/4/3 mm buy and offers on...
No buttons being pushed. Have only carried them on some drifts and spear fishing trips. Typically not open water. Just was making sure whether to throw it in the bag or not. Probably will. Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks
I will bring a dive log. Kind of stopped logging dives for a couple years but need to start back up again. I thought about bug spray but wasn't sure. I don't take Benadryl often. It is more a just in case. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for all the info. Will look into the sandals. I am basically blind without contacts or glasses and I wear them while diving also I got a bald head so the toboggan is for that at night. The spring clamps are the heavier duty plastic ones. I use them for wood working.
After looking through the other posts I have come up with my pack list. Let know if I'm off on something. Thanks

Thanks for all the info. One more question (for now). I know you have a night off the boat on the last day but do you get off the boat in the evening during the week at all? Thanks
Thanks for the suggestions. Will check out the threads about the insurance. Dove right before New year's out of Sanibel and the water was in the low 70's. Used a 3 mil. So I am thinking I will be good. Might bring a shorty to double up if needed. Just wanted to see what others might say. Thanks
Going on my first liveaboard trip on blackbeards this march. A couple questions. Did anyone buy the travelex insurance that they are pushing for their trip? If so what does it actually cover? Was thinking about taking a 3 mil full suit. Anyone who has gone during that time think that is enough...
