After some research on Scubaboard our group of 6 divers decided to go to Komodo in November.
We flew in to Bali and had some time to get used to the timezone and the temperatures. The Adelaar did one stop on the way to Komodo and cruised two nights, which were surprisingly good because of the...
We had schooling hammerheads at Pulau Run around 35-40 m and a single hammerhead in Nil deperandum at 14 m. Nil desperandum was very exposed with strong currents and bad visibility, Pulau Run was great. Our LOB was the Damai 2.
I shoot with AWB,for wide angle I use a modified preset of a flat profile (Cinelike D), in postproduction I have selfmade YUV curves. For macro I use a single Sola 3000 videolight.
I shoot with a Panasonic GH4 ,for wide angle Panasonic 7-14 mm in a Sealux housing with dome port, no red filter used.
For the macro shots I use a special planport from sealux for the Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8 lens with a wet diopter.
Aerial views with DJ Phantom 3.
Postproduction with Grassvalley...
We spent two weeks diving in Indonesia with 4 days of diving at the Maluku Divers in Ambon. After that we crossed the Banda Sea to Triton Bay, Papua with the Damai 2.

I used a Panasonic GH4 in the new Sealux Housing with the Panasonic 7-14 and 12-35 lenses using Cinema D and editing with Edius 7.4. Focusing was a little tricky compared to my old Panasonic SD909. Next time I will try a redfilter for the 7-14.
MER was great, the transfers quick and well organized. The diving was even better than last year. Expensive, buth worth every penny.

Both regions offer incredible divesites, but Dampier Strait seemed a little bit crowded with many boats around. Misool would be my first choice, if they can fix the transfer problem.
We had awesome diving this March in Raja Ampat on the Damai :D:

Now we got infected with the Raja Ampat virus. The reviews of Raja4divers were really good, but we also got some recommendation for the Misool Eco Resort. We want to go in March (Calm sea, good weather...
