    Perdix AI or ?.

One of the many things I like about the Perdix AI is the battery size and ability to replace it. I do not live in a location that is easy or cost effective to change oddball batteries and is not conducive to long battery life for rechargeable batteries, but thank you for your input.

    Perdix AI or ?.

I've read all the threads. Today was an expensive dive day. My Aeris Elite T3 died today so I am buying a new AI computer. My transmitter is fine so I can save some dollars if I buy the right computer. I have been looking at and wanted the Perdix AI for several years, now that I am in the...

Fantastic flat seas today. So we went East and dove the Underground first(spent 1hr40min) it was awesome. Second dive we did Dolphin Den (spent 1hr 15mi ) . First time for both those sites for us. I loved the dives, the topography was amazing. Hopefully my pics came out, I'll check them...

What was the allure of braided light cords, again?

What is the point of this thread again. PS I use braided and prefer them, they are more pliable then their predecessors, I have never had a problem in hundreds of dives.

Moral wall has been on the must do list for a while. PS. We spent the day at Camp Bay Beach the other day. Wow, what an experience!!! Nothing like having 3/4 of a mile of beach to yourself. It was post card perfect, and no one else there. If you ever get the chance, go !!!! You will not...

We had the opportunity to dive the sea mounts today. It was amazing, the amount of bio diversity and volume rivaled what we experienced in Indonesia. It was amazing. I have never experienced that much life in the Carabean on a single day.

    So... Is the Roatan Aggressor

Saturday & Sunday they usually moor below our road. Ship is good looking especially at night, they keep the dive deck lit in a nice blue light. They must adjust the schedule according to the forecast (I would hope so ) as tonight's they are moored below us.

Looking for dive OP feed back Roatan

Octopus is attached to Blue Bahia condos and have a decent reputation here on the island with the expats. Blue Island is a new shop. I have not spoken with anyone that has dove with them yet so cannot offer anything. Since you are not staying at an all inclusive. Why not dive with a couple...

My next dive is from my yak!

So I got the wife to do her first official kayak dive today. She enjoyed it so woohoo. (It's hard to argue against the extra labor when I do most of the heavy lifting and the cost difference (tank fills are $3.50/tank vs $30/tank plus tip ). I promised her I would ease her into it so she...

    New Wreck Dive

It was a 30-40 ft boat and yes it was originally moored at Melissa's. The boat caught fire and burned completely. My understanding is that they got it out to deep water before it sunk. The pictures I saw it was pretty much burned to the hull. Everyone got off the boat safely.

    First time in Roatan

Seagrapes dive rate does not drop to $30/tank until you reach/book at least 10 dives, also, that does not include tips for divemaster, boat crew. Yes-if you are staying at infinity they will provide tanks for shore diving at West Bay and there are some great spots along West Bay. I think they...

    First time in Roatan

We shore dive sites all over West Bay, West End, Sandy Bay as well as the south. The problem is that most shops will not rent tanks and weights. We own ours so not a problem. The marine park falsely thinks people shore diving will damage the reef so they "encourage" the dive ops not to rent...

My luck is holding. We dove yesterday and I saw a freakin sailfish hitting a small bait ball. I only saw it for a second or two but it was amazing. The wife was hanging with 2 spotted eagle rays on the second dive

    Melia Luna vs West End?

I will add that the West End/Bay option also allows you to eat at different restaurants and there are many really good ones on the West side of the island. If you stay at Media Luna there are very few options beyond the resort, yes there are some in OakRidge and Jonesville but it is still a...

Dove Mandy's Eel Garden (yes again). Spent 15 minutes in the sand after the first channel before the wall watching a Spotted Eagle Ray foraging for food in the sand about 8-12 away from us. It was amazing, while they are digging they lower their rear fin into the sand to stabilize themselves...

Mid-July Roatan Trip, West Bay Area

FYI. Every beach in Honduras is public from the high water mark up 16 ft so if someone is trying to restrict access tell them to pound sand. Since the Prince Albert is mentioned I will also mention that Fantasy Island's dive op allows you to shore dive. I believe it is $17 per tank. You can...
