    PRO TIP - Regulator service

I think you might be referring to my post, right before I joined the Deep 6 team. According to Cerich, the regs had about 75ish dives on it before they were in my hands. Here's the link: Regulator Failure (about time!) Disclaimer, I do NOT recommend anyone doing what I did. A ton of extra...

Normal for wing to take in cup of water every dive?

Finally... a bottom dweller that does it for a good reason... :D

Normal for wing to take in cup of water every dive?

Right... but this thread is specifically regarding our Deep 6 wing, which has no shoulder dump. So I'm a little confused why you would suggest that only the non-existent shoulder dump should be used... The only two ways to vent with the wing in question is the inflator and bottom left dump valve.

Normal for wing to take in cup of water every dive?

? Our wings have two ways to vent air- the oral power inflator and the bottom left overpressure relief and dump valve. If you need to dump air from the shoulder, the only way to do it is with the inflator... Did you mean the bottom left dump valve, not shoulder dump?

Couldn't have said it better myself. :)

Deep 6 Service Clinic at DEMA?

$200 for private and semi-private. If we get 6 or more, $150 per person and I'll get a conference room to host. :) Taking the course is usually reserved for those that own our regs (doesn't make sense to learn how to service a regulator you don't own...) That said, I'll be bringing a few...

Deep 6 Service Clinic at DEMA?

DEMA is a trade show only, not a consumer show. That's also the reason why we don't have a booth at DEMA- it doesn't make sense for us, given our business model. So, yes- you can participate. Any clinic we hold will be outside of DEMA at a nearby location. :) Best, Bill

Deep 6 Service Clinic at DEMA?

There isn't a Deep 6 employee in the Pacific NW, however I believe we have some affiliates out that way. Remote via online video chat is a possibility too, but it's much more complicated due to the equipment requirements... Landon or I should be able to assist you if you'd prefer that route...

Deep 6 Service Clinic at DEMA?

Are you interested in learning how to service your own regulator? Will you be at DEMA this year? Is your favorite beverage Mountain Dew? If you've answered yes to at least two of these questions, you should consider taking the Deep 6 Service Clinic. Private and Semi-private clinics are...

    Reg Servicing, Procedure

Hey divinh- Thanks for the question. There's no need to disassemble anything- send us your reg as you use it. Please note, if another brand component is attached, we will not be servicing that part- we only service our products. If you have, let's say, a different brand 2nd stage for an octo...

Deep6 with MiFlex vs Rubber Hoses

Deep6 with MiFlex vs Rubber Hoses

My issue with Miflex is the lack of ability to truly inspect the hose. After time, they can look fine but be far from it. Also the flexibility difference between our hoses and Miflex really isn't that substantial. We don't use the super-stiff rubber hoses (found in many dive shop rental...

    Eddy Fin Strap Bolt Material

An old toothbrush and a little bit of white cooking vinegar will work wonders. A steel brush on a rotary tool is a little overkill. Best, Bill

    Website issue?

We're aware. Blame Landon- he has fat fingers... To anyone who received an email similar to this, ignore. It's just a copy of your invoice for an old order. You can keep it for your records if you choose. Best, Bill

    Deep 6 Drysuit Review

Thanks @matt86 for the great review! Also, thank you for understanding that a custom made drysuit takes a while to make. It's important for folks to understand that our drysuit isn't a stockable item since they are all tailored to the customer. Measuring / cutting the fabric, sewing / gluing...

Any reviews on the Deep Six wetsuit?

I have several bare wetsuits, including their elastek series from 2014. I much prefer the Deep 6 wetsuit- I find the neoprene to be more comfortable and the added pockets / kevlar is a huge plus. I haven't been too deep in our suit- max depth I've used it to was 60 ft... (I prefer diving dry)...

    Storing regs

The best thing you can do is omit storage and continue diving year round. If the water is too cold, consider buying our Makara custom drysuit or our 7mm wetsuit. We also recommend proper training, including a drysuit course and possibly an ice diving course from a reputable instructor. ...

    Sidemount regs

I'm not sure I follow your point... The original question was specific regarding the use of our regulator in a sidemount configuration. As Landon pointed out, everyone at Deep 6 has a passion for diving and teaching everything from OW to hypoxic trimix cave diving. We all enjoy being...
