Carbon fins vs. Cressi Gara 2000 HF

Yes - exactly, I really did a lot of "research" long time before I did buy those different fins, but I think now 50% of the result comes from the material of the fin and the other 50% from the physical condition of the diver. Therefore the best way would be testing prior buying - but hard to...

Carbon fins vs. Cressi Gara 2000 HF

Hello, I did test the Cressi Gara 2000 HF once more systematically: 25m sprint (we always train with sprints regually) and changeing the fins with stopping time. And Gara 200 HF is always 1 - 2 seconds slowlier than my old plastic fins and on the last meters of the 25m sprint, I feel myself...

Carbon fins vs. Cressi Gara 2000 HF

Hello again, I did buy those Cressi Gara 2000 HF and have a guess what happend......? On my training-test-distance (always the same 250m, and I try always to be quickest, so always same conditions to compare different fins) I was 10 seconds SLOWLIER with Gara!! And the feeling was, that NO...

Carbon fins vs. Cressi Gara 2000 HF

Thanks to all the helpful answers! @mkhilario: I have to do some freediving brevets in beginning of 2013, therefore the Gara 2000 HFs could be for deep diving a good choice @Freep: interesting point of view with that kicking technique, I observe it at many freedivers in...

Carbon fins vs. Cressi Gara 2000 HF

ok - thanks, I have myself Polypropylen fins and carbon fins, but within same test conditions on 300m swimming, Polypropylen fins are 5 sec. quicker - compared to the price 4 times higher I was a bit disappointed from carbon fins. From tests I found on the internet and from a friend*s comment...

Carbon fins vs. Cressi Gara 2000 HF

Hello Scubaboard-Diver, is it possible, that Cressi Gara 2000 HF Fins are quicker than Carbon Fins? Im looking for effective quick fins and my impression is, that Carbon fins are not the quickest.... Which fins are most quick and effective? :) Thanks, mantadive

Three divers lose their lives at Chac Mool in Riviera Maya. 2 Brazillian, 1 Spaniard

Concerning the "law" diving together means a "risk community". If there is one in the group, who has disproportionate more experience + diving degree + leading function he has then also disproportionate more responsibility for the others - this means EVEN if the unexperienced divers AGREED to an...

Three divers lose their lives at Chac Mool in Riviera Maya. 2 Brazillian, 1 Spaniard

@Quero: as you mentioned above, those injuries of the victims may arise from lung crack - I would suppose. Air from Sinuses would escape without any injury (pressupposing no reverse block exists). If total relaxation of the body happens, tongue closes air ways and prevents air from being escaped...

hi herb, thanks - now my computer is free again and the first thing this morning was to set it to "P2+" algorithm ;-) - then I will test this first. Oceanic Geo 2.0 Computer - experiences?

....ok sorry - I found it now - you could say RTFM (Read The F.... Manual) - which I did partly, preferably the Freedive pages - then I will look next time first ;-) and I will switch my geo 2.0 to the more conservative algorithm after 24hours are gone (because its blocked now). Thanks...
