Same here with up-to-date Chrome and Safari on a Mac, ads are covering content in the 'content frame' as opposed to being only in the left and right 'gutters. Maybe helpful for debugging - in some brief testing, this behavior does not occur in Firefox.
Well done! I am excited to dive with my Action 4, probably in Grand Cayman. The color balance is much better than I expected to see. Did you shoot D-LogM for the videos and Jpeg for the stills?
You can really see the effect of the Kittiwake's listing to the side. It is a bit disorienting...
I've used both profiles above water and agree that the natural color profile works very well. I've also shot in DLogM and color graded using the DJI LUT in DaVinci Resolve to get similar results with a little more effort. Pulled the DLogM clips into iMovie and was able to adjust contrast...
That's disappointing regarding the neon green color even with a set WB. Curious if you shot in DLogM and color graded in post. If so, were you able to 'fix' the color to something more normal?
All I care about is the housing and possibly a red filter for the Action 4. From what I've read, the
FLIP10 Pro Package w/ Shallow & Dive Filters & +15 MacroMate Mini Lens for GoPro is popular..The AOI 0.73X Ultra-Wide Lens for GoPro is another. Not sure I would ever get either of these but...
GoPro has more available dive related accessories from what I have seen. They have a larger user base and bigger market. If an action cam was my primary camera or if I had already bought into the GoPro ecosystem, that would be a big decision factor;
Well done! I have the DJI Osmo Action 4 but haven't used it underwater - it is my first "action cam". I also use Resolve (free version) for color grading videos from my Sony a6000 and plan to use it for DJI DLog-M videos from the Action 4. I am not sure if I will use AWB or shoot at a fixed...
I am also interested in any feedback from anyone that has used the Action 4 for scuba (ambient or not).
I just go an Action 4 and plan to use it underwater but next dive trip won't be for a few months. My plan is to use it in a dive case mounted on my Sony a6000/Seafrogs housing. An...
Good point and I should have added that this was on the Mac version. I sync Subsurface to their cloud and have access to it from my mobile device. As I recall, and you can search the threads, the subsurface developer mentioned it is an issue with Garmin not allowing the BT interface to be...
The G1 Solar is compatible with Subsurface, however, you have to use the usb charging cable to upload the dives. This is from another thread about a year ago. I use the first method to upload to Subsurface.
------
There are two methods to upload into SubSurface (BlueTooth won't work with...
A dozen trips to SCC over 20 years and no bedbugs. Perhaps the person who posted on FB brought them along with them in their luggage. Otherwise I agree with jlyle, fake news.
Lined Sole perhaps. The size, edges, color and movement sound right but cannot determine if there is an eye on the front. I have seen them a couple of times in the Cozumel.
(Edited to correct location and description)
I had a recent system software update 9.27 on my Descent G1 recently. I didn't pay much attention to it until I got an email explaining some of the changes. What interests me most is the Big Number Mode that you can set on the dive screens which may help readability for some people. Here is a...
That could very well be the case. I recorded the 91º temp at the beginning of the dive while still shallow (10-20 feet). This was a drift dive on the southern side of Grand Cayman entering at Kent's Cave and exiting at Ron's Wall.
I was diving Grand Cayman in late August and noticed the diminished fish population at some sites more than others. We were trailed by nurse sharks for several dives and saw a few white spotted filefish changing colors, a squadron of squid, a couple of turtles and trumpetfish among the...
I charge my G1 Solar once or twice a week when I get to about 3 days remaining on the display. I use the activity tracker 15-20 hours between charges for bike riding, tracking heart rate and Pulse Ox overnight. GPS use and logging several hours-long bike rides, tracking Pulse Ox and heart rate...
Photos are from Grand Cayman Island August 2022 taken with a Sony A6000, Sony 30mm macro lens, single S&S YS-01 strobe. Housing is Salted Line a6xxx with flat port.
